Hello! Thanks for visiting my Angie's List page! (In order to see the Image Gallery, click on one picture and then scroll one by one.) I am an Aveda trained Master Stylist for the last 13 years. I worked in Colorado Springs at Veda Salon and Spa before venturing out on my own in October 2016. I have a bright, cheery space filled with light, and we have a LOT of fun. I treat each guest as I would like to be treated and I give every service my all. YOU are the most important person in the room! I've lived here almost 19 years and I have 2 dogs named Lola and Darwin, and. one cat named Babette I love my work and enjoy the creative process quite a bit. Come visit me soon! Ellen was very skilled and knew a lot about hair and nail care. I appreciate the good tips she gave my on keeping my manicure and pedicure nice for longer. I saw her last month and tried out her ideas and they worked really well!

Very well. Ellen went out of her way, and was very nice about it, to fit me in as I was very busy and it was my birthday ? . She took the time to explain the cut and after care also. Ellen was relaxed and friendly, took the time to cut my very long hair and style it to suit me. Thank you Ellen for the time spent and attention given!!

I have been going to Ellen for over 8 years for cuts, styling and coloring (that says a lot). I have followed her around COS as she relocated and know go to her OWN salon. Her knowledge and enthusiasm of and for cuts, styling and color are amazing! My hair is very difficult to color (it pulls red as Ellen would say) yet she is always on target and my hair color is great! She always has good suggestions when I am not sure what I want to do, I have never been disappointed in anything she has done. She knows her stuff!

Ellen not only makes the experience wonderful with her delightful chatter, but also custom mixes the hair dye based on the person. For a person whose hair is their baby, Ellen is the best person to go to in Colorado Springs.

It went amazing! Always such a good experience and relaxing time getting my hair done by Ellen. I've went to her for years now, going dark to light, and back dark again and I am never disappointed! Highly recommend!

I followed Ellen from Veda because she is wonderful! She is willing to talk to you realistically about what will and will not work with your hair, taking into consideration the amount of time you are willing to actually spend on it each morning. I LOVE the cut, color and the highlights I get from her!

I moved to Colorado two years ago. Since then I have had 5 stylist that have turned my hair a bright orange a bright cranberry red and cut my hair so short that I cried for months. I went to supposedly the best of the best spending up to $300 and came out looking a mess. I thought I would never find a stylist that could cut and color my hair. Then I found Ellen..... What can I say Ellen is the best. She is so much fun knows exactly what you want and is not afraid to do funky things to make your hair look awesome and she knows what she is doing to get the look you want. She doesn't pretend to know what she is doing she just does I have to wait awhile for my hair to get to the length of the hair style I want but I know Ellen will get to where I want it to be. My color is beautiful with gorgeous shades of reds, blonds and copper but not so harsh that it looks unnatural. It took me awhile to find her but I will never leave her. She is really a master of design, color and style. Thanks Ellen for being you I can not wait for my next appointment.

Ellen is a true professional. She considers the individual - what they want and/or need. She listens, understands and provides advice when asked. Once the customer has decided, Ellen sets to work, using her expertise as a hair stylist to perform her 'magic.' I recommend her to anyone looking for a quick re-shape or total transformation!

I am a regular customer of Ellen's. In fact I followed her she she left the salon she worked at to become an independent. Ellen clearly cares about her clients and about the quality of her work. If you don't care too much about quality and want a cheap cut, than you are probably fine going somewhere else. If you want quality, and personalized attention from a master stylist, go see Ellen.

Always well After ten years of experience with Veda Hair Salon, Ellen Regina left to open her own space and continues to care for her clientele. Fabulous! :) My polish lasted well over three weeks, and I received lots of compliments. When I asked Ellen for suggestions for nail polish colors, she steered me toward a fun polish-and-glitter combo that garnered more compliments. In addition, Ellen is super-congenial and a pleasure to spend time with while receiving a treatment.

Ellen worked as a Master Stylist at Veda, before striking out on her own. I won't let anyone else touch my hair! I went through several stylists at various salons, before finding her. She even managed to repair the damage from one nightmare haircut that left parts of my scalp showing. In her new location, she has a cozy private room, unlike most salons where the chairs are lined up claustrophobically close together. Being hemmed in like that makes me feel super self conscious. I feel like people can hear everything I say. After making me a tasty, hot cappuccino, Ellen gets down to business, listening carefully as I describe the look I'm going for. I think this is the hard part, and where many hairdressers fall short. Communication is key. With her years of customer service experience, El is good at this, and makes sure we are on the same page before picking up the scissors. I like to keep my hair long, and she works with me on this, by explaining which products to use or not to use. She shows me how to brush and style my hair to emphasize certain features. She's very knowlegable and patient. She researched a wide variety of product lines before narrowing it down to just a few that she decided were of the quality she found high enough to carry at her shop. They're also easy on her clients' wallets, which I appreciate. The color line she chose is beautiful. It lasts longer than Veda color, which I was never too crazy about. It's shinier, and more brilliant. For no extra charge, she includes a relaxing hand massage, and an added bonus is the wide array of locally made creams, lip balms, and lotions she carries. She recently started carrying a paw protection product also locally made that you put on your pup's feet to guard against harsh elements. I recommend Ellen to anyone. She continues her education by attending classes and seminars, and is very easy to talk to.

Ellen has been cutting my hair for at least 10 years now. She is a wiz at curly hair. I do not trust anyone else to cut my hair. Recently, I had her put in some highlights to brighten up my hair and blend away the gray. She had a great plan, which she explained to me in detail before we started. The end result was great - looks much brighter but still completely natural.

Great experience! Ellen knows how to pamper her guests! Love the hand massage while my hair is conditioning! My hair always feels so nice afterwards; I wish I could have her do my hair every day!
