When purchasing my home, I requested that all appliances be checked and maintained, because it was an older home, with older appliances. I also purchased a home warranty. After moving in, the furnace went out and would not relight. I called my warranty company and they sent someone out. The company that came out said it was a maintenance issue and all they had to do was wipe something off and then it relit and it has stayed lit ever since. I called Efficiency 1st and let them know what had happened and asked if we could work out some sort of refund, since I had to pay for something that should have been done in the maintenance 3 weeks earlier. I called multiple times and each time, Candy said she would have the owner call me. Today, I called again and told her that if I do not get a call back, I have no choice but to leave a review, because this service is lacking. I did get a call back this afternoon from Bill. Bill told me that the reason the part was dirty was the wind we have had the past few weeks. I directed him to look at the date on the receipt, because it was from December. He then told me that I should have called sooner. I explained to him that I called as soon as I found out I had to pay for a maintenance issue. He said he never got a message. I told him to ask Candy, as she can validate that I have been calling. He then said he would call her on 3 way to make sure this is true. I told him I thought that was rude, but to call her, if he is saying I am lying. He then said I should have called them in the first place, instead of calling my warranty company and then we wouldn't have this issue. He said I have no common sense (about calling my warranty company instead of them). He said I am what is wrong with society today, everyone just wants to get paid for nothing. I tried in vain to explain that I was simply looking for some decent customer service, since it seems I paid for something I shouldn't have to. I told him I would leave a review with exactly what happened. He said go ahead, because he has a whole team of lawyers on stand by for defamation of character. That seems odd to me, if you are a business person in good standing. But that is my opinion and rumor has it, I have no common sense. So, as long as everything goes smoothly, it seems this may be a good company. But, if there is an issue, they will not help you and actually will add fuel to the fire already burning, due to the original problem and you will end up feeling worse after talking with Bill. Candy was very nice, but the jury is out on whether or not she gave Bill all of my messages

They installed a complete 3 1/2 ton unit and the price was great. It was only a week from the time we were given the estimate by the owner to the actual install. The inspectors passed them on first inspection as well.

All was well, except we did have some parts/equipment issues. The first water heater had to have the burner replaced because of a bad humming noise with the original burner. The second water heater had a leak, and they had to bring in an entirety new one to replace it. But all of these corrections were completed the same day, so we really appreciated that. The installer was very up front with us about the problems and knew what he was doing.

They did a lot of extra work to get it right and they were able to accomplish it where other people told me it couldn’t be done. I have recommended them to other people. It took them two days to do it. They had to cut down my furnace and moved it but they went the extra mile. He said he would move the furnace and modify it and it would be a lot cheaper than buying a new furnace.

Bill was very plesant to deal with. He was professional and gave us the honest truth compared to other companies that we had gotten quotes from. After talking to Bill on a Friday morning, we had the air conditioning installers that Monday afternoon. They had everything completed and cleaned up in roughly about 4 to 5 hrs. System does what is advertised. We have a 3 ton unit and it cools all levels in my two story home. Saved a ton of money and would recommend Bill and his staff to anyone needing service, installation for heating and a/c. Great people to work with.

I was the one that contracted out the installation. They were excellent and had the best price. They showed up on time and did a good job. It cost $3000 for one of my daughter and the other one had a furnace too and it was closer to $5000. The owner was personable and came out to do the estimates and knew his job. He gave us the best price and was very honest and upfront about everything. The electrician he contracted out to also did a good job.

It is too bad that you do not have A++++ ratings. If you did, I would give that rating to Efficiency 1st. Bill, the owner came to give me my options and an estimate. Honest, kind and caring man! He did not pressure me in any way and presented my options and brochures so that I could think about exactly what I wanted. I called with questions and then scheduled my appointment. The electricians came to install a 220 line for the air conditioner. It was Bill's choice, and they were stellar. Just as they were through, Efficency 1st crew came. Nick and Anthony were unbelievable!!! They work as a team every day. The were kind, informative, and made me smile. The cleaned up EVERYTHING and were finished earlier than I thought (I was planning on part of the next day). I can not believe how wonderful this company is! It was though an ad in a coupon book that I found Efficiency 1st, and I thought the prices were too good to be true. NOT!! A+ BBB rating and A on Angie's list. I would and will recommend this company to anyone who needs a new furnace or wants to get a new air conditioner. (I know several)

It was Friday afternoon at 4PM before the Memorial Day weekend and I discovered that the AC was not working. Nick from Efficiency 1st had been out 10 day before to check the system because the outside unit would not go on. He found that the refrigerant had leaked out becasue of faulty king valves. He replaced the refrigerant and the system worked fine. When I tried to start it up 10 days later the same thing happened. The outside unit would no go on. I called Bill at the office number and he was not sure he could send anyone out until Tuesday after the holiday weekend. However he did send Nick who arrived a little after 5PM and found that the thermostat was the problem. He had a new one in his truck and replaced the old one solving the problem. The charges were very reasonable. $79.95 for the service call to replace the refrigerant and $85.00 to replace the thermostat. Nick had installed the system 3 years ago and all the work was first rate. I am very happy with their service.

We called Efficiency First before we moved to Colorado Springs knowing the house we were moving into did not have an air conditioner. We set up a time for a quote the day after we arrived and he was right on time. It was extremely hot and we wanted the a/c installed ASAP! The house was already plumbed so it was a fairly easy job. They agreed to install same day which was the only company we found willing to do that. They were also the cheapest so we were thrilled. The install took a little longer than expected but the technician stayed until it was done (after 9PM). The only complaint I have is we ended up having to call them back to fix it because the technician's tool to measure the freon was not calibrated properly. It froze our lines and the a/c stopped working after about a week. However, the company was very responsive and came back out immediately to fix it and we have not had any problems since. From a price perspective, they were by far the best in the area...and although they didn't get it right the first time, they were committed to fixing it immediately. I would use them again and would recommend them to a friend.
