Eco Tree Service

Key point about what Marty does is he almost always asks for the utilities location service first before he does stump grinding or other like services. This was again important as the neighbor's electrical service ran right by the stump on one side. And, our gas service ran a couple feet the other side of the stump. The gas was not an issue, and likely the electrical would not be due to depth intended, but we find it very good that he does these checks both for his safety and for liability of him and us if our contractor takes out someone's electrical service. He carted off the trees and branches when taking out the dead tree and bush and left little evidence of the service performed.
My spouse is so confident of him that she gave him full payment for all services on his first visit and he came back eight days later at the appointed time to remove the stump.
He's timely, professional and friendly. We have used him several times as we have trees 25-30 years old and we expect to use him again when needed.

I'm very pleased with their service. I would use them in the future.

It's taken me this long to write the review because frankly I find it very difficult to even think about.
We had Eco Tree service come out to prune two of our blossom trees. One is over 80 years old, the other close to 30 years old. We also had some vines thinned and weeded from an arbor.
The young man who thinned the vines was very meticulous and thorough. He did a very good job and I have no problem with that part of the job.
Our issue was with the hacking of the fruit trees done by another fellow. The big old tree one was done moderately OK, but again main branches were cut that did not need to be which changed the spread and arch of the tree.
But my sadness over the hacking of the second tree was heartbreaking for me.
The instructions were to take off just from the height of the tree, to cut off a few feet from the top branches that were beginning to grow so tall that our view was going to be blocked. Eco decided to take out several core main branch arteries of this old beautifully formed fruit tree. It arched over our gate like a twisted Bonsai it was a sight that always brought me great joy.
They cut out several old and very thick core branches from this tree. It looks hacked and chopped up and very very sad. it no longer arches over the gate it just looks mutilated.
I feel that this company has no actual aesthetic sense of beauty or actual knowledge of how a tree grows.They are just a couple of guys with a power saw. Maybe they thought the more big branches they cut the more $$$ they could charge.
I blame myself. I did not check Angies list. This group was recommended by a previous pruning service that we used and loved, Prudent Pruners which is no longer in business. Because of our experience with Prudent Pruners who had great skill discussing the plan before hand and determining the end result before cutting, and the technical knowledge of trees ,we just thought that ECO would come as skilled and as knowledgeable. But like I said they are just a couple of guys with a chain saw. I really messed up by not checking Angies list and not paying attention.

He was extremely dilligent, terrific at what he did, and his prices were very reasonable.
