In 2009 Doug helped us find and buy our first home.  We always told everyone that we loved him because he told us what we needed to know instead of what we wanted to hear.  This was so important because the average person doesn't know all the ins and outs of the current housing market...and as first time buyers, we knew even less than the average person.  We ended up buying a short sale, so that made the purchase unique too.  Doug knew his stuff and was able to help us with every step.
In 2013 we relocated to another state.  When it was time to sell our house, we called Doug again.  Doug came over and gave us great advice on what to do and what not to do to get ready to sell.  He saved us from making some costly updates that we thought were necessary and instead gave us easier things to tidy or update that would be more attractive to buyers.  Between his advice and a great shift in the market, our house sold after only one showing (2 days on the market.)
Our only regret with using Doug was that he ruined us for other realtors.  We had a hard time finding one we liked in our new city.  I rarely give stellar reviews like this, but Doug earned this one for sure.
