It was $135 an hour because it was a Saturday.  They came out, chased it and figured out where it was.  They then dug it up and fixed it because we lost like half the power to our house on Saturday morning.  They were very responsive.  They went above and beyond.  There was actually a piece of it that they said they weren't comfortable with doing because they were too small so they refereed us to a larger company to finish it up.

I gave the technician my phone number on a piece of paper and he would look for the outlet and call me back. I sat there for 5 hours waiting for the man to come back. I got ahold of him and he said he had lost my phone number out of his window and lost it. I ended up rescheduling to May 17th. On that day, he called and said his electrician called in sick, after I waited at the house for 30 minutes waiting for them. I had to call them. I talked to the owner and asked when he could fit me in. I said I never planned on using them again. He said he did not need my business or want it.

They worked with my schedule, they were very flexible, they called to let me know when they were coming, they were very professional, came on time and had fair pricing.

WAY overpriced, horrible customer service, don't waste your time.On the phone they told me they'd be at my house between noon and 3. But they showed up at 10am when we were at work and asked where we were. So yes, they showed up TWO hours outside their THREE hour window. By the way, they are located less than 2 miles from our home. So, we rushed home, the guy came inside (nice guy), pointed to a hidden breaker and told us we needed to flip a switch. That's it. Didn't even flip it himself. That'll be $110 dollars please. EXCUSE ME?! Called the company, waited on hold for almost an hour, finally spoke to the manager and the owner. Their customer service is horrendous. Both of them were very confrontational and rude. Wow. Ever dealt with a company that seemed very shady? This company has that feel ALL over it. Don't waste your time or your hard-earned money. Go with someone who gives a free estimate. These guys don't and they will rake you over the coals for nothing without so much as blinking an eye.

I'm shocked that this firm had a positive rating. I joined Angie's list just so I could get names of electricians after using D&J, and having a horrible experience. They came promptly out to see if they could fix the switch on my celing fan. The switch had blown, and I needed it replaced. The tech was here for five minutes, took the switch with him when he left, never got an estimate, or was told I'd have to pay a large trip charge, just a bill a week after for $150. I called every 3-4 days to question the bill and ask if they ever planned on ordering the part for me. Totally blew me off. I found the switch on line and ordered it myself.

I called D&J Electric to come out an install a fixture in our two-story foyer after the first electrician we hired said he couldn't do it.  They did charge for travel in addition to the work, but since we live out in the boonies, that was understandable. They were upfront about the price and were prompt and professional. They did a great job hanging the light.  I would hire them again.

 The electrician that D & J sent out was courteous and was very good at answering questions, and we have piece of mind knowing that our house is OK.

The estimator showed up on time and provided a detailed estimate. I had the option of digging my own trench, which I did, and which reduced the cost. The electrician also was on time and did quality work. There was an issue with a missing wire on the supply side which he corrected at no extra cost. The inspection by Regional Building went smoothly with no issues.

I like them a lot and I always use them. I always ask for the same guy. He's really nice to work with and he does a good job.

They did a fantastic job. They're estimate for the work was very competitive and the final cost was accurate (though I approved a couple of change orders for additional work). The electricians were very professional and capable. The job actually took several weeks to complete because it was an extensive remodel and the job needed to be completed in stages. This was fine and made the most sense. They were careful to keep the same electricians on the job so that they were familiar with the house, the project and me which I really appreciated. I was totally able to leave them in the house to work on their own while I ran errands outside the home. I give them my highest recommendation. P.S. I wrote a very detailed memo which specified exactly the work I wanted completed. How many outlets in each room, what wall and where exactly I wanted them placed. Etc. I think this really helped them to accurately estimate the project (without need to put in "buffer" for unexpected work) and keep costs to a minimum. This document which I revised after the initial walk-through based on sound suggestions from them was really helpful, I think, in keeping things on track and transparent.

From start to finish D & J was the right company for the job. I would hire them again. My house had a contract the first day it was on the market and sold five weeks after that. I know I owe part of my success to D & J. They helped me design the right lighting for the kitchen.
