Craig and Karl were great. Very professional and understanding when I had an emergency and had to cancel a day. They did a wonderful job and we feel we got great quality for a fair price. Highly recommend them and will use them for our next painting project.

The brothers, Karl and Craig, did the work with such excellence and such integrity that I was amazed. At one point I had to ask them where they learned to work like they do. They replied that it was from their dad who set the standards for them and taught them to do what they do the way they do it. They are exceptional, a rare breed.

The weather delayed the planned start date but the job went well and the house looks great.  We went a few years too long and the house was in pretty bad shape but the two brothers went the extra mile of do a good job.

We are about to do some touch-up painting on our Victorian home exterior before we put in on the market and just pulled out our beautifully detailed documentation of all the paints and finishes the Crowders used when they did two outstanding jobs for us. I realized we need to write a review! The Crowder brothers did ALL their work themselves, including meticulous hand prepping and some restoration work in preparation for their hand painting. They cleaned up every single work day. These men are artisans, not just workers, and thoroughly enjoyable human beings as well. I don't know what happened, but we had a ramp built onto our house and paid the people who built it to use the same paints the Crowders used on that project, but the paint has not held up nearly as well as the Crowder's work that is two years older. You may wait a long time to get on their schedule (up to six months, I have heard), but that speaks for itself. The wait is well worth it. We don't intend to ever use any other painters.

It did NOT go well. They did not start the job when promised. After a second delay, they committed to finish the job in two days. It took almost five days to finally finish it. We were not happy with the finished product. The colors were not what expected. It is possible we chose the wrong colors, but they were applied in one area opposite of they way we requested they be applied. We did not ask them to repaint it the way we originally wanted it. It is possible they would have done so if asked. Overall, we were very disappointed with this provider and the finished product. Even though we possibly share at least part of the resposibility.
I did choose the Crowders because they were very likable and personable but unfortunately I was not completely satisfied with the job that they did.
Response from CROWDER PAINTING
"We at Crowder Painting try to accommodate and commit to the schedule that we provide to the homeowner. The job took longer than expected do to the daily afternoon rain showers in Manitou Springs. In fact, we had to completely repaint the entire back of the home because it was "washed" off. The homeowners chose and approved the colors. We asked if they wanted to see samples but were told to go with those colors. There was NO mention that the colors were not what they expected, in fact there was no mention of any concerns they might have had. We do not choose the colors for the homeowner, we only help in the color choosing process. All colors and any areas the customer wants painted in a detailed way is determined by the homeowner. We did exactly what the homeowner asked of us. The "area" in question was painted to the homeowners recommendation. We do not make the decisions for the homeowner, we only give suggestions. If the homeowner was not happy with the end result of said area, we would have gladly repainted it. We at Crowder Painting put customer service first. If a homeowner has any questions or concerns they should be brought to the contractor. We do not know what the customer is thinking unless there is communication."

They did a great job. They were very meticulous. They used a specialty paint on the stucco, which was more but worth it.

They did an excellant job. Helped us pick the paint, used quality paint, were on time and got the job done in the estimated time.
During painting they discovered a bird had nested in one of the gutters. They painted around her, and as soon as the babies were born and flew away we called them and they came back the next day to finish the job.
I highly recommend them.

Crowder came out and gave us an estimated quote. They had to reschedule a few times due to weather.
The first day they came out all prep work was done. Then when the weather cooperated they came in to finish.
They were very proffessional, all work was cleaned up after and the painting job was excellent.
I was most impressed with the care they took painting around the winter dead vines that wrapped around the porch.
They did this causing no damage and that took some time effort and care.
All around a very good experience and we will definitely call them again.

Quote received and approved; general date set (had to work around our holiday plans). They showed up, did the work under the time estimated, gathered up their things (very little cleanup as they are soooo meticulous!) took their check and voila! new wall paint! And so you know, they're great people!

They were fine. They were very busy. They did a really good job but it was a matter of scheduling because they were really busy. They had to reschedule a couple of times and you need to know that going in due to weather for outdoor painting. You need to know that you probably aren't going to get the date you want. They do both indoor and outdoor painting. The price was reasonable; it might be a little bit above.

Very cooperative and professional. Changed one color after they started painting and they did not charge extra. The project start date was significantly delayed but that was primarily due to weather. Power cleaned the house but did not clean the windows once completed.

Our Lindal Cedar Home and added rooms was in serious need of paint. The Crowders provided an estimate that they stuck to, did the work when they said they would, and cleaned up every day so you wouldn't even know they'd been there. Their attention to detail around windows and doors is meticulous! The Colorado prairie sun caused some fading, and they came back a year later and touched it up, and you can't even tell where, except that it looks wonderful again. They are really busy, so schedule well ahead of time.

Our house hadn't been painted on the exterior since it was built, (about 7 years). We did a very thorough search and fielded multiple bids. Every company we spoke with, 5, came out and gave us an estimate. All of the estimates were fairly close. Each company used contractors to do the actual work. We spoke with people that had the companies do the work, and got wildly varying opinions about the quality, depending on the contractors that did the work. I did some more research and found a review for Crowder Brothers on Angie's List. We had them come out and give us an estimate. They came to the house, looked over the job and gave us a thorough estimate. They were very professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Their estimate was more than the other ones we had received, but we felt that we would get fair value for the work being proposed. First and foremost, they do all of their own work. No contractors are involved. Second, they apply 2 coats of paint to the finish. Not one other company offered these 2 things. We contracted with them in May and the earliest they could get to us was August. (Be forewarned, they are very busy for a reason and you will have to book early). They notified us a week before they were to arrive and helped my wife determine the color selection. They started work on the agreed upon date. The work they did every day was extremely meticulous. I was very impressed with how great everything that they did looked. (I am not a professional painter, but you can tell when someone cares about their work). Each day when they finished, they cleaned up completely so you could not tell that anyone had even been there. They arrived every morning promptly. The job was finished on time with no surprises and minimal disruption to any of our usual routine. To say we are pleased with the results would be an understatement. We feel that we got a great value for our money. Yes, they will be more expensive than other companies, but you get what you pay for. If you want a quality job from people that take pride in what they do, then we would highly recommend Crowder Brothers Services.

Karl and Craig are extremely competent and take pride in their work as professional painters. These gentlemen restored our doors back to their original look/feel and we feel so blessed to have found them. Being on the clean-up crew is not an easy job and yet, without any hesitation, when they came out to give us a quote they said they would do their best and they did!

It went beautifully. The two brothers came over to look over the project and to give an estimate. I felt immediately that they knew what they were doing (I think they have been painting for over 22 years). They offered advice and gave us an approximate date for doing the work; about a month out. We had selected the colors and on seeing that the dining room color was more intense than we imagined, they introduced a color which turned out to be perfect; great workmanship and cleaned up beautifully. The dining room had two cathedral arches which had to meet with the living room paint of another color. They met the challenge.

Craig and Karl did an amazing job on our house. The south side of our house was in extremely bad condition, and the north side was in pretty bad shape, too. They put in multiple days of prep work on each side of our house before moving on to painting. Their attention to detail was phenomenal. I've really never seen a contractor put so much time and effort into a project before. I would not let anyone else paint my house now that I've seen how they work. Our next door neighbor used to be a painter and said he's never seen a painter do such a thorough job on a house that the painter didn't own. That's high praise! With the amount of work they put in, we probably should have paid much more than the estimated cost, but they stuck to the estimate despite taking longer to complete the project than they had first thought.
