CREEK SIDE CARPENTRY

Bill Lawless, the owner of Creek Side Carpentry, is a real professional and just a delight to work with. He called right back when I contacted him. He came over and met with us to look the window boxes we needed replaced. We discussed options for construction and type of wood. He helped us figure out a creative and functional solution for a minor glitch: One large box sat on top of two thick beams which were attached to the  house and its stucco. The beams, too, were rotted. We preferred not to deal w/stucco repair/re-painting, and he suggested some corbels (brackets) under each box. This attractively covered the place where the beams left the stucco damaged after removal, and killed two birds for us: It solved the stucco problem, and they added to the look of the boxes. Price was reasonable, and work went forward. From start to finish I think it was less than two weeks. In between, Bill stopped by to show me what he had in mind for the corbels and their design/construction, for me to approve. He explained why he chose cedar for the outdoor boxes---good wood for outdoors at a reasonable price. After install, he did some research and recommended a product I was looking for, to waterproof the boxes' interiors after painting. We are really pleased, and highly recommend Bill and his business.

He does beautiful work. He does work by the hour, which I think is good. I had him put in a sliding door into a computer of mine. He also put in a cabinet for me. He fixed my front door. He has done a lot of other random jobs for me. He Doesn't like to paint. He is easy to work with and is on time. he is very reliable and finishes everything up. He helps to keep a list of what needs to be done. He is a wonderful person to work with. I would absolutely recommend him to others.
