Even though I know we don't clean houses on Saturdays, I checked our calendar for June 2013 just to be sure; and your information is not listed. We never serviced your house or had you as a client. "Good day. I see your cleaning was accomplished August 2013 by two young ladies. Your cleaning issue seemed to be "a lot of dust." Even though your house was larger than the Angie's List deal, we didn't even charge you extra. A complaint 8 months after a cleaning doesn't allow us to see what your cleaner did or didn't do. Thank you."
Although Jamie at the office was very courteous and accomodating to fit me into their schedule, I was underwhelmed with the actual cleaning services performed.
Once the ladies arrived, I removed one of the bathrooms from the list because it is a guest bath that is never used & I wanted them to concentrate their efforts on the other areas. They worked for approximately 3.5 hours, then informed me they were done. Upon walking through the house to check their work, I noticed in one bathroom that there were drops of dried latex paint on the floor (the same floor that was supposed to have undergone a "deep cleaning"). When I pointed it out to the cleaner, she stated that she didn't have anything to clean paint. I simply pushed at the drops with my fingernail & they came up with no problem. In another bathroom I noted a spill (later turned out to be cleaning solution) beside the toilet & had to point it out to the cleaner. She was able to correct this. In the kitchen, all countertops were wiped; however no items (toaster, bowl of fruit, etc) were moved and wiped under. I didn't notice this until after the ladies had left. Also after they had left, I was standing in the kitchen looking into my dining room. Although the dining room floors were supposedly swept and mopped, there was a visible layer of dust under the buffet (the buffet sits off the floor on legs of approx 3" in height); obviously this item was simply mopped around, not under. So much for the "deep clean" for which I paid!!
I would say that Cosmopolitan did an OK job, but certainly not a $300 job. I would expect my teenager to perform the same level of cleaning; it was not to the standards that I would expect of a professional cleaning company.

So I'm confused as to why you said they skimmed the surface and why you weren't happy. They even did the baseboards for you. You never called the company to discuss any of your concerns, so I'm also confused as to why you rated a "C" for responsiveness. You even told the girls verbatim, "You two busted your asses". They even asked you if you needed anything else and you said no. I believe your review to be inaccurate. Those two girls have worked very hard for us and for you. What you told the girls and what you're writing in this review are completely different. If you weren't pleased with them, why did you tip them BOTH and said "great job"? For $100, you received a deep cleaning of your house, and one person for 3 hours is enough manpower from what I see you told our intake specialist on the phone on what you required. I also looked in our records and I don't see where you called and spoke to me, the owner, or a manager, to rectify the situation within 24 hours. I do apologize you feel you received a bad cleaning experience. In the future, a call could make the world of difference. As far as your cleaner, I know she is a thorough and conscientious cleaner, so it surprises me about the quality of her work as we get requests for her back many times. When you look under the bed there are dust bunnies and under the other furniture. They only vacuumed the areas that I could see without looking under anything.

I know my assistant follows up within 48 hours of each clean to see how the clean went. This gives each client enough time to look things over and get a feel for how their experience was. She was unable to reach you. The man was not the brother of either of those women. Having dust bunnies in plain sight is unacceptable and I agree that it should have been cleaned for you.
