Comprehensive Painting

Terrible! They come out and promise you everything and push to start the job immediately. They don't follow through on what they promise and didn't complete the job. They left areas around the house unpainted including the chimney which you can see from the street. They argue with you throughout the process and you must constantly watch what they are doing if you don't want damage to your property. Extremely unprofessional, poor quality and sloppy work.

I like the fact that they had several painters. It wasn't just one person, so they got the work done quick and efficiently.

They were punctual and friendly. They did what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them.

I've used them three times so far. I bought the house in 1995 and they power washed and stained it three times. It's a fairly big house so they are probably the only company that would even want to do it. I haven't done a lot of comparison but they've been very reasonable. I also have a three year warranty so if any part of the house was to get dark or get redone, they would do it for no charge. Their quality is excellent and it's a really good stain.

-They painted 4 sample swaths on our shed to help us pick the color we wanted. That was very helpful. -There was a delay in the scheduled start time due to weather slowing other jobs they were doing prior to our house. No problem, but they didn't call and tell us they were delayed. -They painted half the house on a Saturday to avoid interfering with the family child care program we run in the house during the week....a nice touch that they implemented on their own. -They cleaned up the site very nicely before leaving for the rest of the weekend. -Overall, they did an excellent job painting the house. -Moreover, the painters were fast, polite, thorough, personable, professional, and determined to do a good job...really, just a nice group of young men, and a pleasure to have working on our home. -The "crew chief" clearly was empowered by Comprehensive to make decisions on his own...that is he never had to say, "Well, let me call the manager...". -A brief but telling story...my wife had second thoughts about the color choice, so when the painters asked her (with pride) to examine the job, and tell them her opinion, she hemmed and hawed a bit. This really bothered them. When she told them it was the color she was concerned about, one of the painters said, "Oh....but what about the workmanship, it's really a good job...right?" They were indeed proud of their work, and wanted to show it off. I liked that. -Finally, the Crew Chief recognized my wife's uneasiness, so he suggested trimming the house. He than selected the color, and finished the job. The trim made a world of difference.

We have hired Comprehensive twice. In October, 2008 they painted our entire home. They were not the cheapest bid nor were they the most expensive bid, but they were the most highly recommended painter we contacted. They come when they say they will come, they use excellent paint, the crew is courteous and they clean up after themselves. They do an EXCELLENT job of painting. We will have them back for some interior painting we hope to have done this year.

First contact with Comprehensive Painting was my telephone inquiry, answered by Natalie, and in the numerous times that I spoke with Natalie, she was always professional, courteous and made a point to hear and respond to each of my customer preferences and needs. A meeting was promptly scheduled with a representative, Bob Bowling. Bob was courteous, professional and knowledgeable, answering every question, giving feedback and making suggestions. A quote was provided along with information on the availability of a color consultation. And, Bob, with his infinite patience, met for more than the one color consultation until satisfaction that the “right” color had been selected. The job started on the promised date with the team consisting of Rick Calvin, James and Matt. They arrived each day on schedule, and Rick kept me posted on their schedule, what they were currently working on, and what they would be doing next. They took such care with the new garage door, removing the strap hinges and handles, painting the door, then replacing the hinges and handles. In addition to staining the exterior front and back doors, the wood strip at the base of the door was also coated – such careful attention paid to the little things – little things that make such a big difference. The team was swift, thorough, always courteous and professional. And they patiently and courteously answered my many questions and any concerns that I might have. Enough good things cannot be said about this company and its entire staff. My ten-year-old house looks new again. Thanks for a job very well done.

They did everything they said they were going to do, painters were courteous and careful about our home, they cleaned up everyday and when they were finished.
