College Hunks Hauling Junk

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY!! I would rate them a zero if that was an option. This was the worst experience with a company in a long time. The movers they sent to my house to move a giant wooden and glass shrunk were definitely not big enough to move the piece without any equipment. Their equipment was broken and they tried to move the $5000 piece of furniture by hand and ended up dropping it 3 times. Needless to say that with all the glass it broke. The last time they dropped it one of the employees was hit in the head and blacked out. The company was no where near understandable. They claim I opted for the insurance of 0.60 cents a pound. I was never given the opportunity to even choose the coverage. I did not sign the document. They claimed they are only responsible for 0.60 per pound to repair which is no where near enough to pay for the damage. This company has terrible customer service and does not give their employees the proper equipment to do the job. I will be reporting them to OSHA for the working conditions for their employees as well as to the Better Business Bureau. I will also be seeking small claims court. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY!!

Mike and John did an excellent job moving me today in Colorado Springs. They finished the job in less time than originally estimated. They were professional and very careful with all my items. They moved efficiently and effectively. I would definitely reccomend Mike and John from College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving to anyone looking for things to be moved. Thanks again!

Great Mo problems

The move was uneventful until after the furniture was delivered to the new house. I discovered three problems following the move and communicated these to the national headquarters and to the local business. My email to the representative at the local business included the following: "My initial enquiry regarding resolution of my problems with your companies moving crew was on 08/20/17, and to date have received no definitive answers regarding: 1. Failure to complete the contracted services (i.e. reassembly of the bunk beds) 2. Damage to my dining room table due to failure to pad the surface during the move and placement of office chairs on top if the surface in the moving truck 3. Damage to, appropriate placement of, and reassembly of the office desk I acted in good faith with your company by paying the bill in total at the request of your crew lead on the day of the move. This bill included "extra" time above the contracted amount. I do not feel that you have reciprocated that good faith towards resolution. I have emailed Mr. Elwood [Keven Elwood - the franchise owner] and received no response from him. Your contractor for wood repair failed to show at the agreed upon appointment time without explanation or communication with me. I have received no offers towards resolution of the office desk and hutch that remain disassembled in separate parts of the house. I have received no offers towards resolution of the disassembled bunk beds. Please note that for this issue, it was agreed upon with your appraiser at the original walk-through that the contracted time and crew included disassembly and reassembly of these beds. I allowed the crew the use of my personal drill with screwdriver and hex screw attachments to assist in the disassembly of these beds. After arrival at the new house, I was asked to return to my old house to get that tool for their use - a turn around time of about 75 minutes. During that time, they did NOT reassemble the beds, and all other furniture had been moved into the house (with the exception of the desk and hutch). After return with that tool, I was told by the crew lead that the remaining members of the team would reassemble the bunk beds while I completed paperwork and finalized payment. Upon completion of paperwork and payment, was told that they had another job at 4:30 that day and were being hassled by their boss to move on to the next job. They would be unable to reassemble the beds. I feel that I was outright lied to. I spent 6 hours of my own time over the subsequent 2 days reassembling the beds on my own so that my children would have their bedroom furniture. I paid for that service to be performed by your company as part of the original contract at a rate of $185/hour, and it was not done. I have requested a refund of the amount paid for time spent by your crew NOT doing the work agreed upon, and for my time to do the work myself. I have yet to receive an answer from you regarding that request." To date I have had my emails and phone messages left unanswered. Regardless of the quality of the work provided, I feel that the business' unwillingness to communicate with me about my concerns represents a significant failure of good-faith business practices. Customers considering College Hunks for moving beware. Should you have problems with their service do NOT expect resolution. There are many moving companies in the region that will back up their services with quality customer care. CHHJ does not seem to be one of them.

CH was available, the same day, at a very fair price to remove a spa from my backyard deck. Two guys showed up on time. They dismantled and cut the spa in pieces very quickly. Then immaculately cleaned my deck and yard when they were through.

Great!!! On time, excellent service and the nicest young men. The pricing was lower than expected and they were quick. They picked up from 2 locations as one job to save us on the cost. They are our go to guys for anything that needs to be hauled away or moved.

Excellent - no problems and very fast

Account Manager Sofia was proactive, highly professional, on top of every detail. Sofia called at the appropriate times including the day of the move just to check in. As the face of this company to the consumer, Sofia is a great asset and difficult to find in these modern times. She even made a second trip to our remote mountain home to deliver boxes and supplies that we needed for packing, after hours. Sofia is over and above and were I still in business would try to hire her away from her employer. 6 "Hunks" led by our new pal Steve arrived early AM. The move was unique and very difficult due to the location of our home. These guys were inspiring to watch and work with. They never stop, no complaining, and worked their behinds off for about 14 hours straight. The only break was for some pizza that we procured, and that was a break of minutes only. The following day we met the crew at a storage facility, arriving on time to the minute, 7:30AM. Same as the day before, noses to the grindstone from start to the final unload. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the entire experience, would recommend College Hunks of Colorado Springs to our family and closest friends. Hats off to all.

Stevie, Eric, Phillip did a great job loading and moving our furniture.

Victor and Taylor were awesome. They called about a half-hour out and offered to brings coffee (always a way to get to me). They arrived on time, measured everything and showed what it would cost. Both men were professional and moved everything in about twenty minutes. I would use again.

Great! They called me to let me know they were on the way, and they asked if they could bring me a cold beverage. They put the items to be hauled away on the truck, and then they cleaned up the area where the items had been. They were polite, efficient and friendly. I would certainly use them again.

College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving was Phenomenal. First of all they called me about 20 minutes before they got to my place and asked if I needed a drink or anything else. They made it more personable. Once they got to my house they got straight to work and Will took care of everything. They were polite, in uniform, and very professional for a move company. I was very impressed. I did mention to Will I needed a hot tub removed from the property and he said he can have the junk crew come out and do a free no obligation estimate. The junk crew came out within the hour and gave me a quote. The prize for the hot tub to be removed was within my budget. The quote included the labor,disposal and disassembly. They got rid of that hot tub quick and they even swept up my back yard and front yard. I will recommend their services to everyone I know. They gave me a great experience and really helped me out.

Cleared out my garage so I now can park my car in the garage.
