"[member name removed] had several outdoor cushions damaged by rodents to repair. We had a 30 day back order on a matching fabric which we have no control over, so we did all work but one cushion and let her take those cushions home while we waited for the fabric to arrive. It was a month later at the end of August when we completed the last cushion. A message was left 3 times over a 5 month period for her to pick up her last cushion and pay for everything. She did respond finally at the beginning of February, and said she would be by to get her last cushion but she still has not done so as of April 9, nor has she paid for any of the work we have done including the work she picked up back in July. She has never spoken with me, the manager, so that I could apologize for the perceived slowness and fix our relationship. From Brett, manager of Clifford's"
He got all the work done and delivered to our house before the first date. All the work was exactly what we wanted and made with top notch workmanship. The fabric selection was better than we imagined it would be.
Brett and his staff acted like we were their only customers when we were in the shop, but in fact the back room was busy with workers.
We checked another upholstery place before we went to Clifford s and they were more expensive and they wanted us to figure out the pattern. Clifford's took the furniture into the shop so they could make sure they had it right, and they did! We had some complicated corners and fittings and they got them all exact.
We have more work and we will have Clifford's do it. We could not ask for better work, at the right price and time from start to finish.
Thank you Brett!!
Very successful!
1) Our couch was so soft that we and quot;bottomed outand quot; when we sat down and needed a hand to get up from it. We suspected that the springs were bad and might need to be fixed. But Mr. Clifford's son said he thought the foam was worn out and suggested that we replace it with new, firmer foam, which we did; and it is fine, now. He had taken the seats with their covers to the shop, and fitted the foam to them perfectly.
2) The upholstery of our two favorite swivel chairs were worn, so we went shopping for replacements. We found some good buys in the stores, but they didn't and quot;fit us and quot; in comfort and style, so we decided to have the parts recovered: the seats, arms, and across the top of the backs of the chairs. At Clifford's Upholstery we looked at many swatches of material and found an excellent complementary match of the material on the chairs, at a good price. He took one of the chairs to the shop and worked on it and from it made the patterns for the other chair. After a reasonable time he delivered the chair and then proceeded to replace the worn out material of the chair we had retained with the new replacements, and took great care in fitting them to that chair.
Ordinarily he would have charged delivery costs, but since we live in their area of town, he gave us an estimate and picked up and delivered to us at no cost.
Because they do a brisk business, and so were busy, it took awhile to have all of the work completed (several weeks to a month), but we were in no hurry and were not bothered by that.
