The project pricing was subject to the final design, of which you added a basement and a second story office over the existing residence after initial design was started. How can you expect to add to the scope of work and hold pricing based on the original concept. The pricing of this project was presented as a cost-plus project with full transparency for each line item to include my profit. It was you that was evasive and poor on return communication and there were not any back and forth as you claim, and your last text stated, if we can?t make a project work in your budget then you are backing out. I have the texts stating that I would be happy to value engineer the project, as well as reducing my fee. You have a full set of PPRBD approved for construction plans and have had every opportunity to solicit other contractors for this project. The costly experience as you state is your issue, and in no way related to my performance, as I acted in good faith to make this project a realization. There was no refund or pocketed money for permit fees, maybe before you make these accusations, do a little research on PPRBD website and you will discover the permit fee was paid.
