I separated from my husband last fall and decided I might like to move to a condo or townhome. I went online and found some I liked and contacted the associated realtor, Candice Graham. She spent many days driving me around and showing me the properties I had found as well as other similar properties she had found that met my criteria. Every time she met me she gave me a detailed list of each property we would see that day . . . as well as a hot cup of my favorite Starbucks coffee! At some point she suggested I might prefer a house vs. a condo so we went in that direction. Once I narrowed my search to a few houses I really liked she did comps of the neighborhoods for me and explained how the negotiation process worked. I paniced after one house I liked went off the market and I placed an offer on another, but the seller wasn't budging much. Candice said I could buy it at any price I chose, but explained that it was overpriced and I would probably not be able to resell it at their asking price in a few years if I needed or wanted to, advice which I greatly appreciated. Then the house I had most wanted came back on the market after a previous deal fell through and I was able to get it for a good price. Candice also coached me to ask that all the inspection issues be corrected which, much to my great surprise and delight, they did correct! Even after the sale was complete Candice sent over her handyman, at her cost, to repair holes in my fence so my dogs could not escape! I have never worked with someone before who was so professional yet patient and helpful, clearly trying to help me meet my needs while engaging in a process for which I had very little experience and expertise. I truly felt she had my best interests at heart. I was so grateful and impressed wtih her that I recommended her to my husband, who just used her services to purchase his new home a few weeks ago! I would recommend her highly and use her again if I ever buy another house in this area.
Description of Work: With very little knowledge of and experience with the process, I chose to buy a house, totally on my own. This was accomplished easily and enjoyably with the expert assistance of realtor, Candice Graham. She assisted in all aspects of the search and sale, coached me on contract negotiations and inspection issues and she even sent over her handyman after the sale to fix an issue that had not been corrected. I was so grateful to her and so impressed that I recommended her to my soon to be ex-husband who also used her services to buy his new house a few weeks ago. He was also happy with her responsiveness, knowledge and prep work that made the process seem so easy.
