Two years ago they build a deck on the side of our house. Recently during the extreme afternoon heat two of the 14 ft composite boards lifted at the center point. I called Shaulin and asked if he could come by to see what could be done. He did and added additional special screws to secure from lifting. No questions, no charge. This says much for their build integrity and customer service. I would recommend them to anyone.

High quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, great value. Shaulin and his team created a beautiful deck that incorporated the natural landscape into the design. They custom cut the deck around an existing Boulder to create a form fitted look that we absolutely live. Shaulin was proactive in bidding and designing the project. He communicated clearly throughout. His prices were at or below other contractors. I am bringing Shaulin back soon to do more work for us.

SUPER happy with our new deck! The whole process was really easy, start to finish. Everything was completed when they said it would, despite the weather not cooperating. The crew was awesome - super nice and easy to work with. It is clear that they really care about the finished product being structurally the best it can be, as well as being beautiful. Rusty's crew did an amazing job with the new composite deck! They were ahead of schedule, cleaned up everyday and were a pleasure to interact with. They worked through 100 degree temps and always went the "extra mile." I would very much recommend Border Decks for any deck project! Very satisfied

The initial work done by Borders was ok, however I found that a big chunk was missing out of one of the boards on the railing. I called the owner and asked him to come out, which he did. When I pointed out the board with the chunk he said it was structurally sound. I agreed but told him it didn't look very good. At that point he started pointing out other minor, natural flaws in the wood and saying, very sarcastically, do you want us to replace that, too? I responded that I only wanted the one board with the big, missing chunk replaced. He responded "Yeah, that is not going to happen", used an expletive and walked away. While their overall work wasn't bad, we will never use them again.

"Nice spin from the entire story, Timothy. This rebuild was totally trashed out by someone that said he could repair Tim's porch. In the process of the handyman? demo'ing the job, he broke Tim's sprinkler control. So, when Rusty visited the job, Tim wanted to be reimbursed $150 for repairs that we knew nothing about. When I told Tim that the crew didn't know anything about the sprinkler, he called my guys liars. That set the tone of the visit on the downside. We don't mind fixing anything we have done but you can't disparage my crew. We would be happy to replace all of the railing (which was our intention in the first place) but now, Tim will have to apologize first. Let's see if he is forthright enough."

We were thoroughly impressed by how Borders handled every aspect of this project, from response to request for a bid to the finished product. The quality of the end product surpassed our expectations. Everyone involved was professional and personable. Project is not completed yet -- just contracted. None of the contractors I met were a very good value for the money, even though I am sure they would do good work. They were all more than double what the job calculator said they should be for the product we are using, but Borders Deck was the most reasonable.

Second job done by BD. I needed the deck stabilized because I made the mistake of attaching a zip line to it... don't do that. Kids had a blast but it made the deck very shaky. BD came out way sooner than expected, back to solid as ever and much cheaper than the original estimate. When it's time to expand the deck, I'll be calling BD.

I had to oversee the whole job they tried to cut every corner they could. I was not going to put in a support beam where it was needed . Their work was good once I made them do what was right Will not use home advisor again Zane

Thank you for NOT using Home Advisor again as we would not want another company to go through what we went through. Sad to see you use Home Advisor to justify writing a $20,700 NSF bad check. It created a lot of extra cost to suppliers and employees. But we know you wouldn't care about that. Everyone can see that our reputation is very high as opposed to yours Zane."
