Outstanding product and service. Tom Keller, the owner, came to my house to discuss installing wooden interior window shutters in my ground-floor bedroom for security. (I'd become afraid to sleep with the windows open since crime is going up all over town, and was in desperate need of fresh air.) Tom recommended 2"-wide slats, which are narrow enough to prevent a burglar from reaching between them to get to the latches, but still modern and stylish in appearance. He made it clear that though the shutters wouldn't be strong enough to prevent a break-in, they would make it impossible for a burglar to get in without having to break them and make a lot of noise.
The custom-made shutters are both beautiful and an efficient deterrent. They were installed onto my existing wooden window frames and match so well that they look like they came with the windows. The built-in latches are unobtrusive and slide up and down into the window frames; they're strong and a bit stiff to operate, which is exactly what I wanted--even if a burglar broke through the slats without waking me (extremely unlikely), he would have great difficulty getting the latches undone from outside.
Tom was very responsive to my concerns and designed shutters that are beautiful and make me feel safe sleeping with my windows open. I highly recommend his company for any kind of window treatment.

I contacted blind man of America on February 26th. They came out for an estimate on March 3rd the owner Tom was prompt even and professional. He took measurements found a color match to our existing blind and give an estimate to me the same day. The new blind was installed on March 19th quickly and at exactly the estimated amount, and I couldn't be happier. I have used them before a few years back for some custom blinds and they were great then too. Would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to friends.

On December 18th, 2013 Tom arrived, as scheduled to install the blinds on 11 windows. The first 10 went extremely well and looked great. Unfortunately, the largest blind (and the one that required a very tall ladder to reach) had not been measured correctly and was too small. Tom immediately explained that this was his error and that he would remeasure and re-order a new blind for that one window. These things happen. He explained further that since we were rapidly approaching the holidays it would take up to three weeks (the average time was two weeks). We acknowledged this and asked him to proceed with the new blind. As agreed to, Tom contacted us three weeks later to let us know that the new blind was in. We scheduled the install for January 14th. Once again, Tom arrived on time and was able to complete the installation very quickly and the new blind looks a good as the other 10!
We are very pleased with the service and the product. The new blinds are very attractive and the design and materials are of good quality. The only reason we gave them a "B" rating for the Overall score is because of the original error in measuring the one large blind. It would have been nice to have everything done before the holidays and not to schedule a second installation which required one of us to be available. But beyond that one issue - we would highly recommend the Blind Man for your custom window treatments.

These guys are wonderful. They have installed remote control sunshades on my windows and built a wood valence over one sliding glass dorr to hide the shade. I asked them back to install more shades on the rest of my skylights.
This is a family owned business and they treated me like family too.

Tom Keller was fantastic!!! He showed up on time, fixed (replaced) the heavy lift cord on the large Graeber blinds I have in my dining room. And did it all in about 10 min and 1/2 the price of all the other companies I called in Colo Sprgs. All the other companies said they couldn't show up for 2 weeks and wanted a minimum of $80 just to show up. Tom Keller showed up the next morning, on time, and fixed the cord in less than 10 min and charged me $40. He is the ultimate professional and I will definitely use him again!!!!
