Big Green Lawn & Landscaping Services

I called for an estimate about cleaning out the weeds in my front lawn and putting down sod. We are renters but we are working on making the yard nicer in conjunction with our landlord. I called and got a person answering that did not give the company's name. I wasn't sure it was them but left a message. (They are also big green). They called me back and set up a time to come by and give me an estimate. The first day they didn't show up (It was raining). However, they also did not call. The next day they called and said they would come that evening. They showed up (father, son, and a few workers). I told him what we wanted. He gave me a price that was certainly fair. $750 to remove the top layer, lay down dirt and put down sod. (It's a small area). And $250 to remove a couple of bushes. Personally I'm not into recreational mowing so when I showed our landlord the xeriscape I had done on the side yard, she said she preferred we do the front like that as well instead of grass. I called Big Green with that information but told them that I'd like a quote on putting down flagstone in the back. They said they would come the next evening. I never heard from them again. If you have a large project, you may get better service from them. But on the customer service part, they are extremely weak. 

Please ignor my report of 7/7/2011. There was a missed appointment because his son gave him incorrect info.                             Mr. Salinas is very professional and well mannered. I have hired him to do my landscaping and bush removal.

I could not say enough good things about him. They do an incredible job, my yard always looks wonderful. The stone patio that he put in was magnificent.
