I had a great experience. They were very professional and patient with me as we go through the process to make the decisions and they took the time to explain everything. It’s a complicated process to compare prices and work and products that they’ve used.

Our geothermal/radiant heat/boiler system (Climate Master geothermal) did not function consistently after installation in 5/10. We filed a warranty claim in 4/11 before the first year was up to our general contractor for the general contractor to go to this subcontractor to solve the issues.
The subcontractor did provide us with a new geothermal unit (Geostar) and a new storage tank. The new Geostar geothermal unit was installed in November 2011 and a new storage tank was also installed and piping moved farther away from this tank.
The subcontractor was last out in February 2012 to fix items.
When we called the subcontractor in early 2013 for service on the boiler, he said that we would be better served to find a local contractor for service, however there are none in our immediate area. We do not understand why this subcontractor will not provide us service and any repairs on a system they had designed and they installed and in an emergency situation.

"There were some initial reoccurring problems with the equipment originally installed on this job. Even though the equipment manufacture did not provide the necessary warranty assistance, Bestway stuck with these problems, and ultimately installed a new geothermal heat pump and storage tank. The servicing of the customer, from initial construction on into the future, was addressed during the original contracting of this job. It was a concern if Bestway could service this customer due to their location. It was determined, from the beginning, that after the initial build and the standard one year construction warranty, that the customer would need to rely on a company more local than Bestway to service their plumbing and heating systems. Due to the complex nature of the initial warranty claims, Bestway continued to service the customer, long past the standard warranty period, until all items were functioning properly and with confidence."

I was one of the Real Estate Agents involved in the sale of the house that the system was installed. The system is an integrated boiler and domestic hot water unit with solar assist. The deal was incredible for the buyers of the house, mostly because of the rebates and tax credits making it irresistable. However, I was most impressed with the professionalism of the Bestway crew. From product information, to quotes, to installed on a limited timeframe, Bestway came through. The experience was great from my view point as an agent and have only heard good things about the heating system from the buyers.I would recommend Bestway on performance and professionalism. I can't really say whether the price is competitive as this install was not the common furnace replacement with many comparables.

Dave Bednarski of Bestway Plumbing came highly recommended from a friend that had used Dave to install a solar thermal system on his home. After meeting with Dave and performing my "due diligence", I was confident that Dave could design and install this complicated of a system. Dave responded promptly to my requests for information and reworked his proposal a few times to show us differing options with the associated costs, but we ultimately settled on his initial proposal. My home is multi-leveled, so I had concerns about how a roof mounted system would be routed through the home and end up in the basement utility room. Dave's design utilized my attic space and existing fresh air & exhaust vents that provided direct access to the basement utility room. In my case, this completely eliminated the need to route through interior ceilings, walls and floors, but I suspect that each home has different obstacles to overcome. Dave, along with his employees Brian and Chris, installed a system that uses 4 roof mounted evacuated tube solar collectors, a solar heat exchanger storage tank with integrated boiler backup, a secondary solar storage tank, and all of the plumbing, wiring, sensors, and controllers that make it all work. The job was started promptly, the employees were punctual, courteous, respectful and professional. Also, since completing the job the company has been very responsive to my requests for tweaks to the system in order to optimize its performance. Overall, I am very pleased. They did a wonderful job and I highly recommend the firm! BTW: The solar tax credits & rebates offset a significant portion of the total cost of the project. Additionally, our monthly bill for natural gas has dropped substantially compared to previous years, so I fully expect that the balance of the investment will be recouped over time. As an unexpected benefit, the interior home temperatures are now more even and consistent, which makes the home feel much more comfortable.
