The framing and drywall went as planned. After the 25% payment following framing inspection the progress slowed dramatically.  The manager/owner Brad Kline stopped returning calls and would occasionally text back (but never with all requested information).







Weeks behind schedule and no responses I took the initiative to contact the subcontractors.  They had not been fully paid and could not get hold of the owner either.







To date, my basement remains unfinished with me having to get work done piece-meal on my own.







I am keeping tabs and plan to file suit against this business when my entire expenses are know.







I discovered several other projects are in the same situation and fear this LLC will be claiming bankruptcy to avoid paying bills. 

After our second payment work stopped and our calls were no longer returned.  This was only four weeks into the job with about one/third completed. The contractor would only communicate by sending us text messages telling us how he was ordering everything and he would be out "next week".  This and other excuses were used numerous times over the next few months.  He sent us new schedules twice committing to complete the job and that he was waiting on things such as the countertops that were were ordered wrong, or he was on vacation for two weeks or he would just wait a couple of weeks to respond that he would be out the following week. Four months after the contract was signed, three months of nothing being accomplished on our basement a lien was placed on our home for non-payment to the bathroom tile contractor, Rustic Flooring.  We then learned that he had not paid on several jobs that he had and three other subcontractors contacted us asking us if we had contact with Basement Finishing, Brad Kline as they had not been paid either. We complained to the BBB of which he is a member.  He did not respond to their contacts either.  We fired Basement Finishing of Colorado Springs by sending a termination letter to Brad Kline, owner approximately six months after the contract was signed.  Still, there were no communications.
