WISH I COULD GIVE NO STARS!! Company is unethical and way overpriced. Was supposed to fix drain line. Plumber told my wife that we would have no hot water if he didn't install double valve on line to sink and dishwater. She has no idea about plumbing. Anyway, they weren't even supposed to work on water line. He installed about a $20 part that took him about 5 minutes (it was only 2 brass nuts). They charged $182.70. He could have just put a cap on dishwasher line until dishwasher was reinstalled. Cap is about $2. Tried to talk to owner twice and have been getting run around. DON'T USE THEM, THEY ARE GREEDY AND HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE CARE.

Don’t use this company. After having them service my property in November of 2022, it is my opinion that this company does very shady work, overpromises and under delivers, tries to overcharge you and take advantage of you, bully you into paying the ridiculous prices, and feels just overall unethical to me. I will say the service manager Chelsea is the only highlight of this…again, just my opinion based on the service they provided me and how the technician tried to take advantage of me. I could write a three-page review on this, but I will keep it somewhat brief. I called in and requested an appointment for an issue that Colorado Springs Utilities said was an inside plumbing issue that I had to get a plumber for (CSU only fixes their equipment leading up to our equipment). CSU told me what part was needed and I looked it up. When I called B & L Plumbing to schedule, they scheduled it for me and told me there was a $139 trip charge and the part needed would be about $368. Again, I had already researched the part and found that the price at Lowe’s was $18.85 and the price at Home Depot was $34.97, so B & L is way overcharging. I get that they have to make money, but to price-gouge somewhat $368 for something that retails for $18.85, that’s absurd (and in case you are wondering how I know that, I confirmed the model number on the part(s) used and it matches Lowe’s and Home Depot exactly. So I asked the B & L Plumbing person, “what if I provide my own part because it’s less expensive for me to buy it”, and she told me I would only pay the trip charge and that covered labor up to an hour and after that, it would be billed hourly. I said okay, that’s fine. So they came out, and the tech that came out was Kevin. Let me start by saying, he smelled very strong of nasty cigarette smoke, like so strong that it was nauseating and overwhelming. He was rude and not respectful at all, not to mention having a very foul mouth (not professional when we have two kids nearby). I showed him everything, gave him a summary of what needed to be done, and gave him the parts that I got and he said they would work fine. It took him 48 minutes of labor, and when he was done, he did ask me to test it. I noticed he mounted one of them crooked, but I tested the faucets. I also noticed that one part that he said he replaced looked old and rusty and not like what I bought, and I asked him to leave the old one with me, and he paused and said he would, but he didn’t, so I don’t know if he actually replaced it (Chelsea later assured me he did and he just forgot to leave it). Then he tallied it up and he said I owed him $858 and change. That was absurd. I explained what the scheduling person told me and I told him that was more than if they just provided the part and installed it and he told me yes, that’s how they price it. He tried to bully me and he felt somewhat threatening to me, so I asked him to call his dispatcher I talked to and he said no because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Then I asked him to call his manager, so he did. While taking to his manager, he got angry that I wouldn’t pay the $858 that he was trying to extort out of me and left with some more very foul language. I sent an email to the company and the owner (Larry Weiker, who was unavailable from what I was later told). The next business day, I did talk with the service manager Chelsea Boggess and she was the only highlight of this experience. She still tried to get the full amount out of me, so I calmly explained this to her and explained my dissatisfaction, so she dropped off $100 and change, then after a long detailed discussion, she said she would go down to $650, so I finally agreed to that because I didn’t have to time to have a legal battle with legal counsel in the midst of moving, so I said that was fine and settled it. In my opinion, they absolutely overcharged me, took advantage of me, and were very unethical. Afterwards, I ran this by another plumbing company and was told this should have cost no more than $200-$400 at the absolute most since I provided the parts. Chelsea did send out another tech to fix what Kevin installed crooked. So my rating on Chelsea is a B+ to an A-, and my rating on the company in general is an F. Chelsea seemed genuinely interested in working with me and apologized for what happened with Kevin. Anyway, in my opinion, I would suggest looking elsewhere for a plumbing company and don’t ever use these guys for anything…ever. If you have a complaint, ask for Chelsea.

No work done. Had to pay the trip charge witch was $69.00 Was Insulted by the estimate i was given for approx 1 1/2 hours work $975.00 that's including a $20.00 first time customer coupon. Usually I would do work myself but was pressed for time but ended up doing the work my self anyway. My cost $15.00 I feel if I was a person who did not know anything about plumbing I would have been totally taken advantage of. I will never use or recommend B&L Plumbing to any family or friends.

I had a leaky kitchen sink that I had already fixed before Thomas (B&L plumber) showed up. He checked as I requested, and said it looked fine. He also secured my garden hose faucet in the garage with two screws since it was loose. I also asked him to take a look at the toilet in my master bathroom; it would occasionally start running for no reason throughout the day and overnight. Thomas said that it was leaking from the tank into the bowl (no external leakage) and that replacement parts for my nice Kohler toilet would exceed $525, and that he could replace it with another Kohler for $490. Cool, saved me a few dollars, right? He called someone to deliver a new toilet, and while that was being delivered, he removed my original toilet - did a very nice, clean job with no mess at all in the house, but at this point, I needed a new toilet since my old one had vanished into the truck. The new toilet, when it arrived, was a lot smaller than my original Kohler, and it was NOT a Kohler toilet - it was a Sterling Windham toilet that looked like something that would be used in a grade school bathroom. I checked on-line, and the same toilet was available at Lowe's for $99. WHAT??? So, I called B&L to find out what was up with this. [btw, Sterling is a Kohler subsidiary. In 1984, Kohler Co. acquired Sterling for two reasons: it provided a foundation on which to build a mid-priced, full-line plumbing brand, and it gave Kohler entrée to sales through retail stores, a distribution channel that was beginning to grow rapidly.] I spoke with Chelsea two days later (nice person, not rude at all, and trying to be helpful). I had left a message the day after the install regarding the high pricing, and Chelsea called me back the following day. She said that the toilet had been purchased from a plumbing supply house (she wasn't sure which one) and that it was a higher quality than the $99 toilet at Lowe's. She made some references to brass/copper fittings vs cheap plastic that would be in the Lowe's version. I asked for the name of the plumbing supply house so I could call and find out the cost of the toilet to B&L, but she wasn't sure which one and said that I would be happy with the toilet for years to come. Thanks, Chelsea, for your help, but I really would like to know how much you guys paid for this toilet because I'm still not happy with the cost. Overall, nice job by Thomas, the plumber who came to my house. He called before he showed up, got here a little early, and spent about two hours, although at least 30 minutes of that was waiting on the toilet delivery. Nice job by Chelsea over the phone, but she needed to provide a bit more information. Big Thumbs-Down for B&L pricing, which was extraordinarily high for a rather cheap toilet. Until they can prove to me that my new toilet cost them more than $300, I'm not happy. Really not happy.

I love how responsive this company is.  Saturday evening, a beer bottle got partly ground up in our disposal.  I called B&L and talked to Brad who tried to help us unjam the disposal using the key and the re-set button.  We were unsuccessful trying to do-it-ourselves, so Brad scheduled a service call for Monday morning.  Nick, the technician, called to let us know he was on his way and arrived within the time frame he gave us.  He wore booties when walking through our house and did a very neat job of cleaning the glass out of the disposal.  We have used B&L before and like their great service.  I'm sure we'll use them again in future, but I hope not for another beer-bottle-glass-in-the-disposal situation.

When I called B & L Plumbing, I told her it wasn't an "emergency" appointment because there is a second bathroom in this house  She gave me a appointment window of 10 a.m. --Noon which was fine with me.  Tom, the plumber, called me around 10:45 am and he arrived around 11 am.  He was very informative and answered all of my questions.  When Tom said the old toilet tank had a fine crack in the bottom of it, I asked him if he could install a whole new toilet, so that I wouldn't have to worry about water leaks again.  So that is what he did and I am very pleased with the service.

B&L was the only plumbing business that took our emergency as seriously as we did. We had called three other plumbers before B&L with no return calls or being told that we'd get a call back with an appointment time. Nick arrived right when the dispatcher said he would and he even called ahead when he was on his way. The service was completed quickly, cleanly, and professionally. B&L has won us as clients for life!

They showed up on time and took the faucet apart and said it was garunteed by Mohen but the labor is not which seemed fair. Ivy the way this is the kitchen sink pretty important for a family if 5. He said they needed to order the part, my wife said we have the same sink in our mud room could you use that one for know so the kitchen would be operable so he switched the part and made the kitchen sink operable. Well we have never heard back from them to this day. We would still be waiting. The biggest joke was the repairman said when the part came in it would be another 170.00. We'll guess what they treated us like we were not important. Good luck if you use them. Still waiting for a call.

I had two other plumbers come look at it and they said two different things. These guys are probably the top plumbing company in town. He ended up telling me that there is a structural problem after doing an assessment. I was happy that they didn't try to scam me. He gave me the name of a subcontractor who could fix this particular problem. I've worked with some of their subcontractors and they did a great job. They were prompt, honest in their assessment and that's all I can ask for.
