There was a several month delay in getting started they blamed it on wether. When the did start the workers where dropped off without even a ladder. They had to borrow my ladder to get on the roof. No one spoke english so there was a communication barer. They had no wood at all and initially replace none of the rotten wood Re-roofing over missing and rotten decking and putting the drip edge over rotten facia boards. When I complained they stated there was no rotten wood. When I complained more and stated the replacement of the rotten wood was the primary reason for choosing then and if there was no rotten wood why would that have been included on there bid? In addition the ice and water shield in bid was not installed and shingles put on the low sloped roof. Because of that It failed inspection and the shingles had to be removed and the proper roofing for low slop roof installed. During that time they also agreed to replaced some of the visible rotten wood but being done after the fact resulted in a very sloppy job. I got 5 bids 4 had 5 year warranty on there workmanship Aspen Roofing only gives 3 and now I see why I will be lucky if it lasts that long. I was going to withhold payment until is was corrected but they put in there contract that you must pay in full within 30 days of face additional charges. They also stated the completion date was when they say there finished not when they pass inspection, not when I am satisfied. So there date for completion was after 2 days of fast past work and did not include the month it took them to redo some of the work to pass inspection.
They where very nice in the begging but I spent $4638 for a roof that should last more than 20 years, I got a sloppy job and am likely to have problems in just a couple of years.
