This practice is a joke. You can't make an appointment until they have a referral from your primary care doctor and your full file from your prior rheumatologist. They have had my husbands info for over 5 weeks and they still won't return a phone call or set up an appointment. I shudder to think of the type of health care service they provide if they can't even take care of the people in the pipeline. I am appalled and sickened by this lack of consideration and customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very sad!

Dr. Baker was able to diagnose me immediately because of his excellent rheumatologist knowledge. I have a rare disorder so I was very happy that I didn't have to see multiple doctors to figure out what was wrong with me. He also treats his patients with a great deal of care and concern. He listens to what you have to say and doesn't dismiss your concerns. I would highly recommend him.

it was a challenge to get an appointment and almost seemed as though i was bothering them to request one. Once there the same arrogance was exhibited and little follow up offered. Unfortunately due to insurance changes I was forced to seek assistance with this physician once again this fall (2013) and again experienced cold, unkind, uncaring reception staff and was not able to schedule an appointment for three months. I worked with my insurance to request another physician option.

Dr. Sayers is kind and helpful. He does not rush through an appointment. You just have to wait awhile to get an appointment, but when you have it with him, it is not like you are just being pushed through, and my wife appreciates that. She can get her questions answered. He has referred her to a neurosurgeon for those conditions of neuropathy which she just saw the day before. In terms of Dr. Sayers, he did not just wanted his own expertise. He is willing to get other doctors involved, and they are good too. He is a pretty busy doctor. We wish he is more open, but he is a good doctor, so, he is always busy. Going to see him is just difficult. I would recommend him to others.
Description of Work: My wife has been seeing Dr. Michael Sayers for a number of years for arthritis. They are also looking for a bunch of conditions called Sjogren’s. He also helped diagnosed her condition of lupus. Now, she is going to him and to some other doctors concerning neuropathy.

Dont dee this doctor if you have any type of disability insurance they will not do any work with the insu rance and the additude of the doctors change completely once you inform them of the insurance
Description of Work: I went to this appt because I have cronic pain and numbness in my hands I saw a arthistis doctor in publo but he refussed to work with my disability insurance. Dr. Hocate was very nice and conrcerned about my condition untill she found out that I wanted to have her fill out paper work for my disability ins. The appt went down hill from there she became rude and told me I wanted her to lie for me.I must of told her 5 times I just wanted the truth. She said if the arthistis doesn't show up on a MRI then there is nothing wrong. I asked if I should be seeing a different type of doctor. She said I had seen 3 doctors already what I needed to do was go back to work I asked her if she wanted to see a hygienist who was dropping things out of her hands. Asked what to do when my hands go numd after holding things for 5 minutes. She just left the room I dont understand I thought Doctors were suppose to try to help patients

Overall I was seen quickly, received the shots and was back at the office an hour later.
Description of Work: I called on Monday to see if I could see the doctor to get a chortosone shot because a muscle in my thigh was inflammed from over use. I got a call later in the afternoon to see if I could come in on Wednesday. I talked to the doctor and wound up getting two choritsone shotes. The other was in my elbow. Dr. D, as she is called, has been my doctor for at least 13 years. She diagnosed my Fibromyalgia and has guided me througjh the years.

She is very bright and very caring and very thorough. She is very detail oriented. I have a very complicated medical history and so when I first started seeing her I had to take a lot of medical records and she took them all and entered them into her system. Then we had our first long meeting and again it is because of the scope of difficulty to get into. This is a person that you are going to have difficulty getting your first appointment with just because they are busy people and they are good. She is a terrific doctor. She is up on the cutting edge and they do a lot of things in that practice that has to deal with osteoporosis, a very rare auto-immune diseases which is the category I fall in. It is hard to get into the first time. Her office has good staff. They have a lab on site so you can get all your blood works done there. As for punctuality she is doctor who gets called by other doctors and what not, but she takes the time with you that you need so sometimes she gets behind. I want her to spend the time that she needs with me if I have a problem. I want her to do the same with other people also. The staff is very friendly. Dr Hocate is terrific, very thorough. She communicates well and is very straight forward. As for billing I have never had any kind of trouble with any billing issues. I do take some very expensive medications and some of them which is administered there so they always give you a heads up, advising you on co-pay, what they expect it to be. You need to know what you are in for when you have to make a copayment. I appreciate that. I will continue to use her in the future.
Description of Work: I go to Dr Melissa T. Hocate for rheumatology. She is with Arthritis Associates Colorado Springs. I see her every six months ago. I see every four to six months typically.
