I would run for the hills and stay far away from this place if possible. Worst experience I've ever had dealing with a business. I ordered new garage doors 10 months ago, and still have no idea what's going on or where there at. You have to pull teeth to get very little information out of these people. Trying to get my money / deposit back at this point. I wouldn't let them get anywhere near my house.

DO NOT USE!! WILL NOT WARRANTY WORK!! HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES - RUN!! WILL TREAT YOU HORRIBLE WHEN YOU TRY TO GET AN ISSUE RESOLVED..... READ THE BAD REVIEWS AND THE OWNERS RESPONSES TO SEE HOW THEY CONDUCT BUSINESS BEFORE PROCEEDING!!! Manny was at my location to install a garage door that was purchased through this company . The garage door was installed on February 3rd on March 9th my garage door fell off of the hinges and practically "tacoed" itself almost causing serious injuries!! I of course, called them right away to see if they can come take a look at it due to their install being botched. They of course, sent Manny back out who insisted I broke my own garage door! Now a few things.... I don't even PARK in my garage, so the door is barley used. I use the opener on the wall and the one in my car to open it if I need to when I get home or leave for work so I never actually touch the door. The moment I called and explained the issue I was treated like complete crap! This is a HORRIBLE way to do business and I will continue to spread this message to anyone and everyone. Please - please take your business somewhere else!! You will be SO happy you did!!

Excellent service experience! I was provided with a 2-hour window of time, arrived a few minutes earlier than start time. Ken, service technician, was very friendly and professional. Following completion of work, he explained everything he did in adjustments of rollers. Highly recommend.

Several panels of the door came damaged. American Overhead Door promised replacements within 3 weeks. Now, several years later, they claim they will not fix it since too much time has elapsed. They do not stand behind their work or their word.

Ray was so concerned about the ceiling falling that he and his co-worked came out same day to do the repair and see what the actual problem was.  He found that the brace (which was originally installed by the home builder) was actually screwed into an unstable piece of wood that was not a support.  The builder added this piece of wood under the sheet rock (why we don't know) so when the original door was installed the brace was screwed into an unattached piece of wood.  Another inch and the brace would have been screwed into the proper support.  The original door was light so nothing happened until we had a quality door installed. They moved the brace over to where it was suppose to be and fixed the ceiling sheet rock.  They did not charge me for the repair even though it was not their fault.  American is an awesome company with a great product and awesome people.  I would not hesitate to use this company again and again.

Excellent installation, cleaned up everything, and explained future maintenance. Attention to detail was perfect! I wish all my contractor experiences could go this way!!!

He came out immediately, even though the weather was terrible.  Fixed the garage door, tuned it up, very reasonable prices.  Garage still runs perfectly.  Recommend!

The gentleman was very professional and explained everything that he was doing. He greased and applied new rollers and explained how they would help. He was very knowledgeable. For what we had done, the pricing was very fair.

They did a good job, the work went well. It has worked great ever since.

Punctual, through, polite and work done quickly.  I am more than satisfied and will call on them for yearly .maintenance.

Our old wooden door was old, 0 RA value, seals gone, dangerous and slow 1960's opener, torsion spring broke, messy greasy railings, door was inop and overall just needed an overhaul.  These guys were great!  Good written estimates, good order process, they even came down on price after my wife haggled a bit.  We are very impressed with the products they install.  Doors seem to be high quality, look very nice.  Seals up nice, insulative properties are evident, but the beltdrive opener by liftmaster is super nice.  This door opens and closes so fast and super quiet.  It's a massive difference and overall we're very pleased.  New door has been in for a week so far.  It took 3 wks. for our door to come in and I'm not sure if that is the standard, but it did arrive when they said it would and install was right on time.  My wife forgot to remove the alarm magnet off of the old door they hauled away, she called them and they brought it out the next day and finished programming the keypad.
Overall we're very pleased with the experience with these guys.

The next morning, two salesmen arrived and within about a minute had the new remote programmed and working.  They made an effort to program the one I had purchased from Sears, but they too could not get it to work.  About that time my husband pulled into the driveway, and they offered to program a built in unit in our car so that would also open the door. We didn't even know it was there!  I have NEVER worked with two more friendly, helpful, and generous people.  If I could give them a dozen star rating, I would!  I highly recommend this company for any garage door work you may have.  I  know we will never use anyone else!

They did a good job and I was  happy with their work.
