We own three rentals of which two we put on the market this summer to sell. Talk about stressful! There were a few items in particular that we worried over such as the shower in house # 2. The fiberglass in the wall surround was cracked in places and had to be replaced. We were originally just going to replace with a like material but after pricing Kris suggested we tile it as the price was comparable. There were a few issues with how the shower had originally been built, but Kris' guy was great in be able to work around the problems of a slightly out of plumb wall and other minor issues. Kris and his crew did a great job in making our houses look great. Kris also made suggestions on other small improvements that we could do ourselves to make the properties look their best. Kris is the kind of person that takes pride in his business as well as being unruffled and helpful person that really took so much of the anxiety out of our remodels. We have used Alternative Resurfacing in the past and will again in the future.

We have used Alternative Resurfacing in our three rental houses. We were wanting to get this house ready to sell and Kris was there to get the job done and always offer suggestions for making the remodel go smoother. The shower in particular was a worry as the fiberglass panel was cracked and needed replaced. Kris told us he would install a new fiberglass wall surround and would meet us at the hardware store if we needed help selecting one. It turned out the size was hard to find and when we did find one, Kris said he could tile it for the same cost. There were a few challenges with the tiling such as one wall being out of plumb but Alternative Resurfacing tile guy did an awesome job with the tile. The whole job turned out great and the remodel really made the house look like new!

Tile and tub look new! Worked around our schedule. The guys were great, worked efficiently, and cleaned up when they were done. There was a solvent smell from the cleaner and paint curing as expected but, it only lasted a few days. Very happy with the results.

Yurick from Alternative Resurfacing did a great job repairing a chip in on edge of tub.  Worked hard to get it right.  Looks great.

They were really nice and very clean. It looks very nice and they did a good job. They came two days in a row and was on time. I am very pleased with the work and am currently just awaiting my warranty paperwork that I was told I would be receiving.

The service provided by this company was great. They did a beautiful job of restoring our tub, while protecting the rest of the house and bathroom.

Technician did a tremendous job. He was very friendly and refinished the tub and it looks brand new now. No more peeling. The technician found a dent that couldn't be seen unless at the right angle that looks to be the cause of the peeling. The tub looks great now and the best part is that Alternative Refinishing warranties their work for 5 years!
I am very pleased and would recommend this company to anyone in need.

Process was quick, the only concern was the amount of material (paint) that coated other surfaces in the bathroom - like a fine dust that wouldn't wipe off, not a major concern but enough to notice.

This is the second time we have used Kris with Alternative Resurfacing. Kris showed me what tool to use to re-grout the bathroom tile, but we were in a time crunch so we asked them to do that for us as well. We also had a kitchen sink that needed resurfacing, but he felt a stainless sink would work better and showed me how to remove the existing sink. My husband and son were able to do this with relative ease. They did have to get some additional piping to complete the job, but it looks very good. The kitchen counters and bath counters look very nice and should hold up well. They are very busy, so when they had earlier openings we were able to accomodate them as this is a rental we wanted to get on the market as soon as possible, Thanks again Kris and your employees!

Awesome job

A previous bathtub refinisher totally botched the refinishing of our cast iron tub. I fired him after seeing the result of several hours work. I subsequently hired Alternative Resurfacing to strip the tub and refinish again.
Alternative Resurfacing technicians showed up on time, removed overspray left on the bathtub surround by the prior vendor, carefully protected the walls, sink and carpet, stripped the tub of the previously installed finish, and applied a new finish. The only glitch was a miscommunication about color which required a fire drill by one of the technicians to pick up the correct color. The new finish is smooth and shiny with no runs or dust particles. The bathroom was left in good condition. The technicians were capable, courteous, and friendly. And the price was 2/3 of that charged by, but not paid to, the previous inept refinisher.
Interestingly, while the refinish material used by the prior vendor filled the house with a strong noxious chemical odor despite the use of an exhaust fan, the product used by Alternative Resurfacing did not have nearly as bad an odor.
I'm told Alternative Resurfacing is not a franchise, and is family owned. Their technicians seem to have years of refinishing experience under their belts. I am quite pleased with my experience.
