Although this company was highly recommended to me (by our landscaper, who we really like), I was overall disappointed with the experience. The quality of the deck is decent, but working with this company was not pleasant. The owner, Tom, led us to believe that he would be on-site during the entire build. However, after the first day, he was hardly ever there. I had to deal with his workers, who were nice, but they didn't always seem to know what the overall plan was. Then, when we brought this issue up to Tom, he acted pretty offended by our disappointment with that issue. I generally found him somewhat difficult to work with overall. He didn't seem to want to fix things that I pointed out that needed attending to along the way. The project was 3 weeks late to start (still don't know why), and then it dragged out forever. He would wait until he needed the next type of material, and then order it, making the project sit for sometimes a week, waiting for the materials to arrive. I felt that this was terrible planning. He had the specs, and the materials list. Why not order in advance, so that materials are there when you are ready for them? Although the deck is nice, I would not recommend this builder. There are some other great deck builders out there -- check them out instead.
