Richard was very personable and told me that it would only cost a little to have the tile removed. Due to unforeseen increases in the scope of the project, Richard said he'd keep costs down. After he was done I received an bill for $935.00 without any line items. My records show he and his assistant worked for a total of 11 hours each. I asked him for receipts so I could get reimbursed for some damage caused by others, which he knew I needed and he informed me that he threw them away. He wouldn't leave my home until I gave him a check. After he left I discovered that my shower was leaking (he had damaged the valve and I had to pay someone else to replace it), he didn't tape the wonder-board seams and he cut an access panel in an inappropriate location. I put a stop payment on the check and when we talked I tried to explain my position. Instead he threatened to ruin my credit and refused to work things out. This has gotten very ugly. My mistake was not getting a written estimate.

The owner, Richard Marquez truly thought through the entire process. He was on site the entire time with his employees. Richard and his crew were very knowledgeable towards every aspect of the building project. Richard offered creative ideas, excellent communication, and the quality of work was great. He wants to give you what you want at the best price possible. They showed up on time. Throughout the entire process, I was well informed of the progress along with their schedule. He handpicks his subcontractors to assure quality work. The basement project cost $19,400. The deck was $10,600. With some upgrades by my choice, the cost was very comparable to the initial estimate.
