He has always been a great, but he rose to "forever" status when he called with condolences after we r house-and obviously the piano- in a forest fire two years ago. he now tunes our replacement instrument and is meticulous, accurate, perfectly punctual and personable. It was flawless. Gordon emailed me last week, reminded me that it was time to tune the piano again. I called him and we set up a time that was convenient for me. He showed up precisely on time, was friendly, took his shoes off, even though I said that wasn't necessary, and got straight to work. He is clearly knowledgeable about the pano, the tuning process and his craft. He explained succinctly how I could throughly clean the sound board under that strings. He finished in under an hour, and charged exactly what I expected.
I have used Gordon for a number of years, and always liked his work. What made me a customer for life was his phone call to us after we lost our house in the Black Forest fire. He had checked the residences of his clients and called every client who was affected to express his condolences and concerns. That was unexpected but deeply appreciated. And I won't soon forget that.

I heard of Gordon both through Angie's List and on recommendation from my sister-in-law (who plays her piano beautifully).  Gordon was very friendly and informative.  He taught me and my children things about the piano we never knew!  He also showed us how to clean the piano so we can take good care of it ourselves.  He was reasonably priced and very professional.  I will definitely call him again for our piano tuning and I already recommend him to my friends.

I have a 70 yr old spinet piano that was my grandmothers, it has been through h*** and back with different moves and hadn't been tuned in about 3+ years.  Gordon came on time...he took the time to show me how to clean and maintain my piano and showed me some tricks to keep it nice and it good shape.  He then took his time, but was not here forever, and got my piano sounding the best it has in such a long time.  He tunes by ear which is how i prefer my piano to be tuned.  Gordon takes pride in his work and his rates are very reasonable.  He will not nickle and dime you and will be very honest in what you need and when you need it for your piano.  I am very grateful for Gordon and if i need anything else with my piano, he will be the man i will call.  I recommend Gordon to anyone, your piano and its needs are in good hands

Gordon is a Registered Piano Technician, so he is extremely knowledgeable about all facets of piano maintenance and repair..  He is prompt and affable and takes an interest in each instrument under his care.  Just as one has regular checkups with the dentist, I would recommend that you have Gordon for regular tuning and checkups of your piano.

Gordon was very responsive and professional.  Not only did he tune the piano beautifully (My goodness...I didn't think it was possible!), he showed me how to clean it inside.  I have played for 36 years and I have never had anyone tell me how to take care of my piano.  He also showed me all the parts inside of my piano and how to take it apart if things get lost in it (with kids, that's necessary information).  We'll need to schedule another tuning in a month since the piano was in really bad shape from the move and going from a very humid climate to a dry one.... but I expected that.  He is extremely knowledgeable and personable.  I used to pay the same price in my old town for a piano tuning but didn't get nearly the service I did from Gordon.

I received Gordon's information from a friend. I called him and we set up an appointment for the next morning, as he was leaving town the next week. He was prompt, kind, and helpful. Gordon taught as he did his work. He showed me how to open my piano, how to clean it myself, and explained A440 tuning vs tuning a piano to itself, as well as what to look for when buying a piano (I had friends there who are looking to buy a piano). My piano had not been tuned in 3 years and had been moved at least three times. It ended up needed two tunes (thus, the $150). After the first tune (I think he said he "pitch raised it" because it was so bad). Anyway, he came back two weeks later to fine tune it and in the end it sounds beautiful. I was very impressed and glad for the recommendation from my friend.
