He returned my call within an Hour, requested a description of what was needed and asked when a good time was for ME to meet him.  Instead, I sent the inspection report and pics via email and from that, he gave an initial quote of $125 and said he could do it Tuesday morning (2 days later) and would call first ? which is exactly what he did ? true to his word.  I meet him at home and we reviewed in person the issue, which was much worse.  The sub panel was overloaded and did not have the proper neutral bar.  He stated I needed a new box, gave me an option and then quoted another $285 for that work.  He changed out the outlet and one fuse in that visit.  He was to come back the next day to complete the box exchange.  He again called in the morning to let me know his schedule, and the time he would arrive, I was not able to leave work so allowed him access to my home, I had full trust in him.  I called when he was on his way and said he?d call once done ? which is again, what he did.
He had to completely undo the original sub-panel, 8 or 10 fuses, and then install a new one, up to code, with proper fuses and with additional spaces.  I received a call when he was done and he went over all the things he had done and left a detailed invoice.  I paid $400.00 total.  Please note that the first quote that I received was for $900 from another operation.
Dave was respectful of my time, efficient, knowledgeable and trustworthy and he is now on MY ?go-to? list for future electrical jobs.
