Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

I took the paintings to the store on August 9, selected the frame, and the glass (museum quality at the suggestion of the store manager) and left them, expecting them to be returned within two weeks. I paid in advance for the complete job at the insistence of the store manager, who said it was corporate policy not to accept any framing orders without full payment. At the end of two weeks, I received a call from the framer indicating that the framing materials did not arrive "on the truck" and she didn't know why. She would re-order and have them within two weeks. Two weeks later, I called and was told the frame materials had not arrived "on the truck" and the framer didn't know what had happened. She would re-order again. When she realized that I was unhappy with the situation, she offered to do the frame job for free. Two weeks later, my husband picked up the framed paintings, brought them home, and realized that they had not included glass on either picture. I called the manager and reported the problem. He indicated that no frame job should ever leave the store without glass and that he would do whatever was necessary to have a satisfied customer. He asked me to bring the paintings back in on the following Tuesday when he would be at the store to have the problem corrected. When we arrived at the store, the manager refused to accept the returned paintings and told us that under no circumstances would he or anyone at the store touch those paintings again. He would not replace the glass. I now have two lovely paintings in frames with no glass to protect them. They cannot be used as they are. Joann Fabrics and Crafts not only will not correct their unacceptable work, they have treated a very good customer quite disrespectfully.
