Having a roof replaced is like having a root canal ... it's not something that you sign up for unless you have to. That being said, Exceptional Exteriors is well above the norm for honesty, professionalism, and craftsmanship. The quality of their materials and the knowledge demonstrated by their sales and office staff, as well as the friendliness and skills of their work crews, made the noise and mess a whole lot more tolerable. They were fast, efficient and cleaned up the job sight. As a matter of fact, our confidence in Exceptional Exteriors extended to work that needed to be done on a new house that we have bought. We had them written into the contract for the home purchase to do the work before the sale.

Exceptional Exteriors (EE) was recommended to me by my insurance agent. An appointment was made in June 2014 for an inspection of the damage. The EE representative didn't show up for the initial appointment. After calling the office the appointment was rescheduled. The representative was then over 30 minutes late, never calling to let me know he would be late. After signing the contract I never heard back from them. I called to get updates and to find out when the work would be done. Never heard back for three months. In September I get a call and we arrange for work to be done. EE cancels and reschedules. Finally EE comes out in late September. I get an invoice saying all work is done and to pay. But I can see that only the roof shingles were replaced on the garage and no work done on the main house. I call and no return call. After numerous attempts to get someone to call me back finally a return call in late October. EE now admits the work isn't complete, they will return at a later date and I should only pay half of the bill. I send in half payment and wait for work to be completed. Workers come back out in late November to finally complete the work. At this point I get an invoice for the entire cost of the work, not noting that I had already paid half. EE also decides to bill my insurance company directly as well. On the next "corrected invoice" they charge me for work that they don't do (AC repair), and here we go again trying to get a correct invoice. Its been a huge struggle. My main contact is rude and unprofessional. Save yourself the trouble and find another roofing contractor.

They were to remove and replace a damaged section of plywood and facia on the garage due to water damage.  They replaced the plywood but not the facia, it was badly damaged almost split in two but they put it back.  I called and someone was suppose to come out the next day, never showed.  In order to have a new facia put in before the new gutters were installed I had to do it myself.  When the gutters were removed they weren't hauled away with the old shingles from the roof, it took 2 weeks before a crew came out and hauled them away.  I had an old set of wires supporting my stovepipe that I was going to replace with a different bracket system which I painted black to match the stovepipe.  The roofers said they would install it which they did, then proceed to paint the whole thing green.  A crew was suppose to strip off the (non-heat resistant) green paint and paint it black.  After several months you can see areas where the black paint has come off and there's green paint underneath.  All in all not a very competent company, poor customer service.
