I delivered the trailer on Monday morning as arranged. They said it would be finished late that day maybe early the next. I said I did not need it, so tomorrow would be fine. They phoned early afternoon to say my brakes needed replacing. I was sure they did not need anything so I went right over to the shop. They were telling the truth, the brakes were not in good condition. We talked about options and cost. I could not nail them down on exact price- just got a general idea- so I said replace the brakes. They said the parts would be in late morning on Tuesday and that my trailer would be ready in the afternoon. Tuesday afternoon I called to see how it was going they told me that the wrong part number brake shoe has been delivered but the correct ones would arrive Wednesday. Wednesdays delivery came but the brake shoes were not in the delivery, they said it was the vendor's fault and that the parts would be delivered in the Thursday delivery. On Thursday the parts arrived, were installed, and the trailer deliver to me about 3pm.
The work was satisfactory and accomplished per my instructions. My only complaint was the parts situation. Had this been my business I would have put a driver in a truck, sent him to Denver and procured the correct parts on Monday when the incorrect parts were delivered. To be fair the Owner/Manager had a family emergency in the middle of this situation and may have contributed to the delay. They seem to be an honest business, I love to support local small businesses and am willing to pay a little more to do so.

The vent and minor welding job turned out perfectly!  I have a horse trailer that I needed to level out which required lifting the trailer.  Discussed options and height.  Dale measured and I looked at the measurements, determined the appropriate height and we agreed upon 18 inches which would be a four inch lift.  when I came back to pick up my trailer, it was lifted 21 inches!  YIKES, he then phrased it as though I had made the mistake in measuring when that is his job.  We agreed upon 18 inches, not 21.  Then I had to pay extra for him to drop the trailer when it was his fault.  After picking up the trailer I see that the trailer wasn't lifted at all rather he flipped the springs on the axle!  Which wasn't what we had talked about him doing!  When I called him on it he again acted as if I was mistaken and we had talked about it and what he was going to do and asked me what was the problem, we have it at the height I wanted.  Yeah, but at an additional cost to me!  If he had lifted it as we talked about then there would not be an issue with it being too high and needing additional charges at my expense.
