I left a phone message at DCMR on Friday, August 14th and received a call back the same day. On Saturday Shannon Ehlers came to review my needs and gather the information necessary to give a detailed quote. Shannon was very knowledgeable and took time to explain in detail the work she recommended. I am selling my home so I was worried that I would not be leaving enough time to finish the work before I left town. Shannon knew off the top of her head that her fencing guys would be available to start work Monday. She sent me a formal quote Saturday evening and let me know if I accepted it before Sunday that the work could be finished by Wednesday, August 19th. After working through a change to the work order I accepted their bid. True to her word the fencing was started Monday and finished Tuesday. There was an area of open split rail fencing (approximately five lineal feet) that did not have welded wire and although it was not in the quote it was covered as well to ensure the entire fence area was consistent. On Wednesday morning the crew came to remove the old rock, shrubs, and landscaping barrier. They were very sensitive to my concerns that things had to look as clean as possible for the upcoming sale. The guys even managed to remove some tightly wedged concrete forms on the sidewalk poured by my previous landscaping company. DCMR went above and beyond to make sure my property looked as nice as it could and even swept away my entire driveway, not just the area they had used as a staging area.
