Fabulously! Double D meticulously went over the vehicle, repairing or replacing what was necessary and calling us first with optional items that did not need servicing at this time. We chose to have them go ahead with the advance replacement of these parts. We are THRILLED with how Double D cares for all three of our automobiles, allowing us to get long life out of them because they are proactively well-maintained. When the occasional unplanned maintenance surprise happens, their service is quick and correct. In addition we were told by a tire place in town that our struts needed to be replaced and they offered to do the job for us for $900. We took the car to Double D and they said, no, our struts were just fine and they could not explain/support why the other guys told us differently. For that, Double D earned our lifelong trust and business. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Double D!! HONEST, PROFICIENT, EFFICIENT, and SUPERIOR SERVICE EVERY TIME!

I selected this auto shop for the location and after looking at the reviews on this site. I called and very easily made an appointment. When I dropped my car (a Hyundai sedan), I made it VERY clear that I only wanted an oil change. I actually wrote and quot;Oil Change Onlyand quot; on my paperwork at check in. The owner knew that I would only be a few blocks away during the service and that he could call me with any questions. Imagine my surprise when I returned to a bill for $67.27. That is quite an expensive oil change!!! The owner explained that my car needed a new air filter and oil filter as well. And they had to go into Denver to get those parts. They did this without calling to ask me about the additional work. He told me that my car had to have these filters replaced at every oil change (not true - I had oil changed before and have had one since that time without anyone telling me that I bought a very economical car with very expensive maintenance requirements...really?). I select local businesses with the idea that they will treat me right. This was not my experience with this business, and I will not be returning.

It was under $100. I was able to bring it in the same day I called, which was good. Everyone was very courteous and polite. I dropped it off and told them that it was running rough. They called me back on the same day and told me the different things that they had found that needed to be done. What I did was, my father in law who is an auto mechanic happened to be here, so I told him all the things and he told me that some of those things don’t really need to be done, that he could do them and so only the main thing was done, I can’t remember what it was now. They were fine with that and they gave me an estimate of what it would cost and pretty much that was what it was in the end. So they did the repairs and we were able to pick it up. We were happy with the service, they didn’t try to push something on us that we didn’t want, all though there were other things they said that needed to be done, not that it had to be done but at least they didn’t push it. My husband did take the car again in December about the heater not working and that went fine. It was going to cost too much so they just charged him obviously for all the parts and things that they had to do to get to the heating system but at least they did tell him what was going on and what it was going to cost if he wanted to have it done. So we were happy enough to take it back there.

This was the 5th mechanic we tried in Castle Rock and without question--THE BEST.
These guys are fair, honest, and forthright about the repair. They work quickly and are very verbal about what they are seeing, what needs to be done, what options you have to get the repairs done and what you need to consider long-term. My 98 Isuzu Trooper with 275K miles on it REQUIRES that level of communication.
We just moved to the area and went through 5 other mechanics that were absolutely on the take! They were happy to take my money and run. It just happens that I know a bit about, "turning a wrench" and I was fortunate to be able to identify the lying scum bags before turning my vehicle over to them. I feel bad that most people don't have that knowledge and subsequently get ripped off.

We have used him on and off for the last year. Another auto mechanic referred him. Their timetable is really good. If they say they are going to get you in at 11 am that is when they work on your car. It is a guy and his wife. He's the mechanic and she runs the office. They made the car run better.

If you need same-day service, this probably isn't the shop for you. They had my car for a long time and didn't call very often with updates. However, when I did talk to them they were very friendly, professional, explained things well, and were honest and straightforward. They were honest about what repairs should be done soon and what repairs could wait and were not pushy about things I didn't want done. Since I value quality and honesty over a quick turn-around, this is the shop for me. They have a very busy shop which says something.

We had taken our Suburban to another company in Castle Rock for all repairs since buying it in 2003. The dealership is in disarray and their attitude and responsiveness had us question the trustworthinesses of their diagnosis and the cost of their repair estimate. We desperately needed to find a new repair shop where we felt confident in their work product and their costs. We intended for this new relationship to be long-term and apply to both our vehicles if we were satisfied. We saw Double D's rating and write-up on Angie's List and decided to give them a try. They were very professional and took us in right away. They gave us a similar diagnosis as the one provided by the other company but they also suggested that we didn't need to do everything the dealership had told us needed to be done. In the end, we saved over $300 and were very satisfied with our interactions with Kevin. My only issue was that we did not realize we needed to leave the car overnight (they were already busy with repairs that same day by the time we brought it in). I would have appreciated knowing that in advance but everything worked out well regardless.
