Mike came out twice. First time, our AC units needed to be charged, and he said that because of where we live, they needed to be overcharged a bit. Ok. Mostly worked for a couple of weeks. Then the problem started happening again. He came out and basically told us to rearrange our furniture to get better airflow and think about UV film for the windows. We did move furniture, and we also bought new registers for the lower level - ones that blew air out straight instead of angled. That helped a bit.
Problems started up again, and we called. Often. We finally got a call back that Mike was having some health issues (nothing major) - that's cool, but they could have told us that earlier or referred us to someone else. Instead of returning calls, they sent us a bill for the visits. But we never signed any work order when Mike was at the house; he just said, "Oh, Teresa will send that to you." It was only the visit charge, but still.
Most of our problems had been with the downstairs unit, but the upstairs totally died last night. We got another service to come out today. Dead upstairs unit - bad capacitor. (Easy.) Downstairs unit - SIGNIFICANTLY overcharged with coolant. The compressor was full of fluid, when it should only touch gas. The new service is sure he'll have to remove coolant from the other unit once he fixes the capacitor.
So, Credible possibly damaged both of our units by overcharging, cost us an unbelievable amount of money in energy, cost us more to get someone else to fix their mistakes, and cost us signifiant distress to our daily lives, including medically.
Such a shame for people who used to do a great job.
"We appreciate the family's response. Our first installation of one humidifier, two air cleaners, and one thermostat were installed in 11/06 for $3,135.00 to this date not one complaint on these items only filter changes. Our second installation of two air conditioning systems in 2007 to be added to existing furnaces was $7,075.00 not $9,000.00. First cooling complaint was on 7/17/12 not 7/1/12. "First in five years". We responded three different times and never observed customers complaint, never discussed refrigerant and altitude. Asked customer to slightly move existing furniture from over top of vents that were being completely blocked not allowing cooling flow. After returning two more times for same complaint furniture was still blocking the cooling air flow. We also observed the customers thermostat to be programmed to come on later in the day before returning home. Experiencing more 90 degree days then in previous summers air conditioning systems need to come on earlier to over come the heating load. We also discussed reprogramming options for system to come on earlier and build a cooling load. We have never spoken to the Mrs. directly and believe this is incorrect information. We appreciate customers responses however, as this does effect our rating we would appreciate accurate information. As we try to keep all of our customers completely satisfied we apologize for not meeting the family's expectations we hope they are happy and satisfied with their new service company. AT CREDIBLE AIR WE STRIVE TO ENSURE, QUALITY, INTEGRITY AND VALUE."
