The drywall delivery showed up on time and in good condition. The guys who hung the drywall did a good job though they left a pile of trash in the living room and it took them a few days to come and clean it up. The finish work was acceptable though we had to do a minimal amount of sanding to prepare the walls for texture. We were hoping that Aspen would be able to texture all of the new walls as well as some existing walls in addition to the new drywall work. We wanted a hand applied "dobbing" or "stomp" texture so we asked for a quote on that. Over the phone Renee quoted approx $125 additonal which sounded pretty good, but when Sean came to do the work he quoted $650. HOLY WOW! $650!! All of the materials came included in the drywall bid, so this is a pure labor charge. I ended up doing the texture myself and completed start to finish (including cleanup) in four hours - a better deal then paying Aspen $162/hour to do it. So my only complaints on this company are the cost of the texture (bear in mind that for an orange peel texture on the new drywall the cost was included in the price we paid but they did not texture anything) and that we had to take quite a bit of time off of work because we did not know when the workers would show up for the day. Despite these items Aspen did a good job and were in the same price range as the other quotes that we received. We used the 10% off coupon that is found in the Colorado Connections mailings and that helped out as well. Both Sean and Renee are very nice people and I did not feel uncomforatble having the workers in our home. We will likely use them if we have work in the future.

The job was done extremely well, on time, clean and on budget. The basement looks great!

Shawn came out and gave us a quote and told us right away that it was best to drywall over the pine, using a 1/4 inch drywall. We had this on three walls. He then notified us about his schedule but it ended up that we actually were able to have him in to do the work prior to that date due to his schedule. Mr. Evans was so professional and did a wonderful job. He textured the walls to match the fourth wall. He was very careful to protect other surfaces and to clean up. I would definitely refer him to anyone else that may need this type of service. He knows his craft and charges reasonably for it.

PUT IN A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT. FINISHED WORK LOOKS GOOD. TOOK MUCH LONGER THAN ORIGINALLY PREDICTED. THEY WERE CAREFUL TO KEEP THE DUST CONFINED TO THE BASEMENT.
