- We were notified that due to the below freezing weather we were having the day of our appointment that the glue used to seal the dog door wouldn't adhere correctly so our appointment was moved to a later date. We really appreciated the notification and suggestion to move the appointment because the installer is losing out on the job for the day instead of moving forward with performing a poor quality job.
- Would take the extra effort to walk around the house instead of walking through it to ensure he wasn't tracking dirt through the house.
- Cleaned the work area after he was done
- Showed up on time and was courteous
I just wanted them to answer when they would be able to come out and install my door. She did not know the answer to this.
I called the corporate number I was given and spoke to a woman named Cathy Joe who patiently listened to me. She said she would check into the matter and have someone call me back to give me a status of the order and when the install would be done.
Bill Hale called me back and his version of good customer service included telling me that he could be reached at the corporate number when I asked for his number. It took several requests as to what the corporate number actually was before he gave me the number 719-269-7400. When I asked why I did not have a business card or a quote on business letterhead, he said, "I don't know."
The net of this experience is that I still don't have a date for the install.
Update: the door was installed on 11/16/2013 after a false start on 11/14/13 when the fiberglass door was found to be too large for the opening. The installer did his job well and very professionally. But the bottom line is that this company has grown slack in there front end professionalism. Their sensitivity to the time needs of their clients is borders on non-existent. I would never recommend them to anyone due to the way that I was treated by their office personnel.
