I had been happy with the vets and services at The Animal Doctor for several years however on Feb. 28th when I took my dog in for her routine shots the staff seemed distracted and brusque.I told both the technician AND the vet that my dog had had an allergic reaction the last time they gave her the Canine Dist/Parv Booster. They looked at their charts and said 'that was not shown in their records' (implying that it never happened). They said 'it would be fine' and if there was an allergic reaction they could manage it and gave her the immunizations. On the way home, less than a mile away from the clinic my dog started vomiting and I returned immediately. In the back room they gave her drugs to counter the allergic reaction and kept her for several hours for observation. After I brought her home in the evening her breathing became labored and it appeared that her heart was racing and I was terrified that she would have heart failure. She survived the night and was better the next day altho she didn't seem completely back to normal for weeks afterwards. The clinic never called to see how she was doing. When I called them all they could say was that they would make a note in their records for the next time and that they would refund me the cost of the immunization that caused the allergic reaction (a minor matter, but they never gave the refund). Of course what bothers me the most is that I believe my dog almost died and that their arrogance was the key to the problem. Talking with a family friend who is a vet I learned that my dog didn't even need to have that immunization because of her age (9) so I am left with the feeling that it was given to pad the bill, not for my dogs protection.

They're excellent. I use Dr. Katie Netler. She's very thorough and very professional. She knows what she's doing and she does all her research. Getting international certificates was a complicated process and she did an excellent job. I had no problems getting the puppies into the country. It was a big deal and it took us a long time. She did a great job. Their prices are good. They have long extended hours and they are open all day on Saturday.

We have been to a lot of the veterinarians there. They are great. They are all very compassionate about the work that they do. They care about the animals and the people that own them.

They were convenient because they were close to where I had my horses.

They are wonderful. I spent thousands of dollars on that dog leading up to his death. They are caring and responsive. They are busy, so sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get your animals in there but it is well worth it. I used to take my dog in there for grooming as well and I like the groomers a lot. They did exactly what I asked them to do. Their prices are fair. I boarded the animals there for years. They do have different size kennels depending on the size of the dog, so I never felt my dog was pushed in to anything. They are real cognizant. They put the animals in the right environment.

Truffle was a big, gentle rabbit, who was brought to the Colorado House Rabbit Society, after a veterinarian had inappropriately given him amoxicillin (which causes severe diahrrea and can lead to death in rabbits). He was also losing the use of his back legs due to e.cunniculi. His person relinquished him to us. Our rabbit-savvy veterinarian dealt first with saving his life by countering the effects of the amoxicillin, but could not treat the e. cunniculi, because that treatment would interfere with getting his digestive system working properly again. By the time we could turn our attention to his back legs, they were completely paralyzed. He didn't even have the sensation of deep pain. Dr. Rotkovich performed three sessions of accupuncture, and Trufle was up and using his back legs almost normally. A little physical therapy to get one leg moved to a better position was all that required to get him back to hopping normally. I would not have believed this, had I not seen it with my own eyes!

Skipper was a rabbit with an abscess throughout one side of his head. An MRI at CSU resulted in a recommendation that the entire side of Skipper's head be removed (including eye and jaw) in an effort to save his life. We chose not to subject him to that, and took him to Dr. Guerrera who first punched a hole to relieve the pressure, and put him on an injectible penicillin that is safe for rabbits. The abscess seemed to disappear, although we know that it is still there somewhere deep in his head, but it is kept dormant by the medication. Skipper looks perfectly normal, and appears to be a happy, healthy rabbit. (This is but one of many, many stories I could relate.)

He was very thorough and attentive towards our dog. I was really pleased except for the price which, I thought was competitive but not great. I would recommend them as a vet to others.

I was extremely impressed with Dr. Guerrera's knowledge about guinea pigs. He is continually researching to keep up to date on treatments for these little ''exotic'' pets and has been very helpful in correcting my pet's problems as much as possible and improving his quality of life. After a vet in Boulder couldn't diagnose my pet's problem, I learned of Dr. Guerrera and made the drive to Broomfield. He is definitely worth the drive, especially if you have a guinea pig.

Excellent care throughout. I briefly stopped going to them after they had to put down a beloved old pet. Appointments are always promptly checked in, weighed, taken to exam room. Short delay in exam room to see the vet (5-10 min). The vets and techs are wonderful, all my dogs are comfortable and not nervous there. They've surprised me several times now when the cost was $35 or less (one was even free to answer a knot-on-the-head question after tech weigh-in, temp check etc.) Just wonderful care all around of us and our animals. We will never again switch.

Surgery went fine as planned. The boarding experience was positive. The rabbit was healthy when returned to us. They gave us clear directions on her post-operative care.

DR. SIEVERS AND HIS STAFF ARE VERY CARING AND EFFICIENT, ALTHOUGH SOMETIMES I FEEL VERY RUSHED. OUR DOG LIKES HIM (AND HE'S VERY TIMID OF VETS), SO THAT'S A PLUS. THE WAIT IS USUALLY WITHIN 5-10 MINUTES OF APPOINTMENT TIME. THE OFFICE IS VERY CLEAN (WHICH SOME VETS OFFICES ARE NOT) AND MOST OF THE STAFF IS COURTEOUS, ALTHOUGH WE HAVE RUN INTO A FEW CRANKS.
