John was available for the job the same week I called, and returned my call right away to schedule a time.  He arrived promptly and did not mind our crazy dog.  We needed him to remount a ceiling fan, which he discovered were missing some parts for the fan blades.  He was helpful in thinking of our options, and he ended up mounting the fan light only until the parts could be ordered.  He was very helpful in diagnosing an issue with our basement lights, and we will be able to simply replace the switch on our own, based on his advice.  In our rental unit, he took time to re-create the leaking hose issue, which he solved easily with a replacement hose. 
John is very experienced and knowledgeable.  It is difficult to find someone so experienced at reasonable rates and who is available within less than a month notice.  We will definitely call John again if we have any issues with our rental unit or our primary home.

Overall everything went well, John is always prompt and completes the project to the end.  I love his attention to detail and communications with me.  I trust John as, many time, I am not able to be home when he is here and I have no issues with not being here.  If I don't have the necessary equipment he simply purchases it and includes it in his invoice so I don't have to look everywhere for items I don't know about; when I purchase items he simply installs them ie. ladder for the library; brackets for TV's, HDMI cables, etc.
