He returned my initial call for an estimate promptly (he was returning from an out-of-town trip). He set up an appt. for the estimate for that evening and was on time. When I chose him (rec'd 3 estimates) he said he would call me early in the following week to set a date for that same week. He called Tues. and we set the date for that Thurs. He was on time, in fact, a few minutes early, which I appreciated, as he knew I had a Dr.'s appt. We again went over the project to make sure everything was correct. He noted that I needed a particular part for installation of the bar light (which I purchased), and asked if I had anything to cover furniture and the area (this was the only "ding" I gave him -- thought he should have had dust covers) as there would be debris when he had to cut into the ceilings. He vacuumed and cleaned as he worked, and after he was finished. He did attempt to relocate the basement light switch to the top of the basement stairs but was unable to do so without cutting and damaging the wall, which I did not want to do, so we cancelled that! He removed the cost of that portion of the estimate. However, I felt he had put in quite a bit of time attempting the relocation and that he should be paid something for the time; he only added $25 to the cost, which I considered VERY fair!
