This company is very busy and my estimator was sent to a remote area to supervise a project. I called and asked to speak to my estimator's boss so I could set a date for their services. My estimator had already emailed a estimate along with a detailed drawing of the areas to be treated with compaction grouting. Mr. J.J. Harris, a vice president of Hayward Baker spoke with me, looked at the estimate/drawings and understood that I needed to set a firm date so that my son could help me move furniture out of my family room. He kindly set a date to accommodate my needs. He was very nice about my situation and I appreciate how he handled it. I was contacted by a very nice lady, Missy, who set up all of the locate companies to locate my utilities and made the appointment for the supervisor of my project to meet with me. The day before the services were to be done the supervisor of my project Scott P. stopped by my home to look and see what needed to be done. He was very professional and with the drawings knew where to drill the holes and how deep to drill so that concrete could be forced into the ground to raise and solidify the ground below. He explained the process fully to me. Scott was professional and made me feel confident that my house would be in good hands and that my house would be made whole again. Scott and his crew, Alan, Paul, and Jeff showed up promptly at the time promised 8:30 AM. I was impressed that this crew were all dressed in very clean new jeans, hard hats, and work boots. They looked professional and were professional. They got to work all knowing what they each needed to do. They worked as a team. Scott marked where they needed to drill and how deep to drill. The young many that ran the concrete mixer got to work mixing the correct mix for the first fill under my porch. I have had my own businesses, and have been in supervisory positions in large corporations and I was impressed at how well these men knew their job and did them cheerfully without complaint. This was impressive because this process is physically hard and potentially very messy. Because these men worked so well together they kept the mess down to a minimum and if something went not as planned they were so experienced that they immediately knew what to do to correct the problem. Missy came to monitor my foundation wall to make sure that the work on the porch did not affect this wall. The work was done with the foundation wall only moved a fraction of an inch and my porch was again level. This team worked with very few breaks, no real lunch, and on the first day they had completed my porch area and my driveway and all the all holes drilled for the next days work. The second day went the same way arrived on time looking as professional as the day before and did the work. They cleaned all of the areas that they worked on. They had laid a tarp under their cement mixer so that no spills left marks in front of my house. I watched both days these people drilled and they between 15 feet and 6 feet below my house. They lifted and filled areas that were hollow and sinking. This method will last at least 30 years. I had another company that does compaction grouting quote me the same job at 1/3 the price but when I received their quote I could see that I was not going to get true compaction grouting. I was only going to get glorified mud jacking. I needed a service that was going to last the rest of my life and then pass a solid home on to my son. Denver Grouting - Hayward Baker is a company that does an excellent job, knows what they are doing and have very professional knowledgeable people working for them. They brought all my areas back to where they should be with no hollow areas. Bottom line, you get what you pay for and Denver Grouting is worth every penny you pay.
Description of Work: Compaction Grouting of my driveway, front porch, laundry room and powder room, and family room. My porch had dropped 1 inch, my laundry room and powder room dropped 3/4 inch and sounded hollow. My family room floor had three major cracks and when they drilled I could see that the ground had settled 3 or more inches underneath one corner had dropped 1.5 inches.
