Lawn and Garden Sprinkler System - Install
I, Peter Aikens, requested these quotes and worked with the vendors to discuss the project. My business partner and neighbor, Sam Carrasco, who lives at the project address, handled the communications below.
6/5/25 Sam contacted William to get the job started and signed agreement with William at 3270 and gave him a check for the deposit of $2.994.00. Sam verbally explained we needed the job done within two weeks, and William said it would be, but likely late in that two-week span. On 6/2/25 when he provided the quote he verbally said within three weeks, which I took to mean by 6/23/2025. He told Sam at the agreement signing his office would be in touch to schedule.
6/19/25 Sam contacted William to obtain the status of the job as we had not received any further communication from them. William said he would have his office call me. Jennifer from his office called Sam within minutes to schedule and gave date of 6/27/2025 for the project.
6/20/2025 After evaluating the timeline needs for the project, we decided we could not move ahead due to the timeline offered. Sam called William to cancel the job. William was cordial, understanding, and said he would mail a check to us for the deposit.
6/30/2025 Jennifer sent me an email to ask if we were sure we wanted to cancel the job. I told her we did and to mail a check. Sam also called Jennifer on this date and Jennifer said she had sent the email to confirm we wanted to cancel. She said she would mail us a check for the deposit.
7/8/2025 Sam contacted Jennifer for a status and was told that a check was mailed and that it must have been lost in the mail. She asked if she could Zelle the money which Sam said would be fine. She said she would talk to William and text Sam back with a status, she never did.
7/9/25 I contacted Angi to discuss the formal complaint.
7/10/25- Paperwork submitted to Angi to start formal complaint.

It was such a pleasure working with Mendoza's Landscaping. From the beginning design through to the final walk through to ensure everything was done to our liking. We have some sod that may not take and they've already assured us they will replace whatever doesn't make it under the guarantee we discussed. Everyone was professional and kind. Mendoza Landscaping undertook extensive landscaping design and installation in our back yard. Willam Mendoza was exceptionally helpful and friendly to work with. The work was scheduled and completed on time. The quality and attention to detail was outstanding. His crews worked very hard and were receptive to questions and suggestions. We are very pleased with the end result! We are happy to recommend Mendoza Landscaping without reservation!
P.S. At the same time as the landscaping, Mendoza LLC also replaced our concrete driveway and installed new concrete walkways around the perimeter of the house. We are equally pleased with the outcome!

We decided to redo our backyard in its entirety. William and his multiple teams of demo, concrete, and landscape GOT THE JOB DONE!
The care and love that William has for his business is unparalleled. We had a few ideas of what we wanted from this project and William fulfilled those and then went beyond what we could have imagined for our space.
We were full of crazy questions, and concerns as the project progressed and between William, Luiz, and Juan we felt at ease and knew it was going to be completed accurately, timely, and beautiful.
We couldn't be happier with the outcome and have recommended Mendoza's Landscaping to several people already.

Mendoza's offered the most competitively priced bid of the half dozen I received. Not only that, but the owner William, proved to be very knowledgeable and experienced and was very personable and easy to work with.
Best of all was the way William addressed some concerns I raised when a few important details got missed near the end of the project. He immediately set about getting a crew over to address and correct those details, and personally assisted the crew in making sure all the finishing touches were carried out to perfection . They were even willing to come out on their day off to complete the work so as not to delay their other customers while still getting my project completed in a timely manner.
I couldn't be more satisfied with my new irrigation system, and I look forward to the opportunity of working with Mendoza's again. I would definitely recommend Mendoza's to anyone looking for a reliable contractor to install a quality sprinkler system at a bargain price!

We found this company to be very reliable. Answered texts, calls, etc immediately. Showed up on time. Accommodated my busy schedule. Met at our home on Saturday with very knowledgeable information we needed to know about the trees we needed planted and confirmed a quote on the Monday. Paid 1/2 of the quote as a deposit and (as per my schedule) arrived 3 days later. Waited for my wife and I to see where they were going to put the trees before they planted them. Overall all their employees were extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. Paid the remaindered of the bill 2 days later. Would definitely recommend using this company and would give them an A+

My husband and I bought our home in a new development last year, right around the time we first met William. From our very first conversation, William was genuine, friendly, and full of incredible ideas for transforming our yard, which was initially just dirt.
Fast forward to this spring when we were finally ready to landscape our entire backyard?William and his team truly exceeded all our expectations! They brought our vision beautifully to life and have continued to be incredibly helpful and responsive, even after completing the project. They even stayed late to help us set up our sprinkler system, which was above and beyond amazing.

Initially, like everyone else, the project started out great. William, and his team, showed up and did a pretty good job completing about 90% of the job. However, to finish the remaining 10% was extremely frustrating, as William would make countless promises that he always broke and then would have countless excuses justifying his behavior. Not to mention William?s team never cemented the retaining wall toppers so they were wobbly for an entire year as we repeatedly called William to get this fixed, only to be ignored and then told they are not in season and will get to this after the winter. When they finally came back to finish the job I vowed to never use them again. In fact, I would pay a premium to whomever, if it meant that I did not have to use William and his crew. To be honest, I think the problem is with the owner, William. This is a bad/inconsistent business owner. Funnily enough, they still have a photo of my backyard on their website. You?re welcome. You have been warned.

Mendoza did landscaping and pavers on our patio. Employees were great. They had to return on day 2 to finish. William the owner said he would b out to spray pavers. He never showed to do that and don't think his workers did, because now we have mold growing. Spoken to William several times over last month. He kept promising to come and never has

Good work was done in a timely manner but now I have been totally ignored. I call and text William and his office daily to get anyone on the line. I have not heard from anyone for a month. I wanted to hire them to do my backyard but now I will be looking elsewhere. Please think twice before hiring them.

The backyard looks amazing. The cement looks amazing. The fence and gate were not finished: gate structure questionable, unsure how long will last and the fence posts were not cut to size. Regardless, backyard looks great!

The Mendoza's company was excellent to work with throughout the project. William Mendoza helped us to plan a major landscaping project for the entire property, including new cement curbing, significant new plantings and enhanced sprinkler system. William, the owner; recommended a layout/design for my front porch and sidewalk replacement that far exceeded any expectations that my wife and I had! Great attitude when coming to give me a quote. Honest and fair on the price. Came in and finished my entire sprinkler job in 2 days and left my property better than when they arrived. Can’t say enough about the 3 man crew they had at our place they rocked it out!!!!!! I will refer all my friends, family and neighbors to Mendozas Landscaping.

During the initial landscaping project, William and his crew performed good work, were professional, and extremely responsive. There was a short delay in finishing off some of the smaller pieces of the project, but no big deal they were eventually handled. We left things off on good terms. 6 months later and I'm looking to turn off my not-so-accessible sprinkler system, which they had dug out and turned on as part of the project. At first, they called back and said someone would come out in the next day or so. These appointments were missed. No call, no show. After calling back, they apologized, and again said someone would be out. These appointments were also missed. No call, no show. I called multiple times a week, for ~2 months. Eventually, they stopped answering the phone and did not respond to voicemail. Tried sending emails, which were also ignored. Not sure what I did to deserve the cold shoulder, but after this experience I would have a difficult time trusting William and his crew with future projects.
