Larry has been coming to our home for 5 years. He is very reliable and honest, never charging more than he has quoted. He is prompt and professional. We highly recommend Larry and his company.
Brenda Billinger
I had been having an issue with my kitchen sink/dishwasher clogging up and backing up pretty solid. The first time a few months ago I called one of the local companies that advertises a $99 clear line to have them come out. They showed up and seemed in a hurry. They opened up the line under the kitchen sink and hooked up their snake machine. It seemed to solve the problem but then they tried to upsell me. They claimed that in the first 20 feet or so there was a buildup of grease and wanted to charge me about $200 for a high pressure cleaning system which I did not go for. The drain at the time seemed to work.
Well 2 weeks later I had the same problem. When I called them back they would not come out or warranty their work. They would only come out if I agreed to pay them the $200 to use their high pressure system.
I then called Discount Sewer and Drain and they explained what could be the cause of my problem and seemed like they had some good ideas. I paid a little extra to get them over and they showed up promptly the next morning with a truck and 2 people. At first they tried the standard snaking method but water was still backing up. Then Larry said lets look in the basement and I had 2 access points for my drain. The same line they worked on upstairs which flowed into a main sewer line. They opened up the smaller line and Larry showed me it still contained water even after having it snaked. He explained to solve my problem they would need a bigger machine and access to the main line which they opened up. They wheeled in the machine twice the size and it did take two people. They explained the whole process as I watched. It turned out to be out by the street close to 100 feet out and they unclogged the line. They cleaned everything up and left after 2-2.5 hours and charged me a fair price.
I tossed everyone else’s card and will use this company again. They were on time, kept the customer informed, had all the equipment required, easy to deal with and cleaned up any mess.
Larry seems nice, but he'll never do any work for me again.
"We strive for 100% customer satisfaction, but we admit to dropping the ball on [member name removed] drain cleaning. We had an emergency sewer repair the day of the original appointment and re-scheduled [member name removed] appointment, but it was never logged into the schedule book correctly. We called some of our trusted friends in the industry to see if they could get right over to take care of the cleaning. To [member name removed], We can offer you a FREE sewer cleaning at your next yearly root cleaning. Again, our apologies. Larry Cluff, Owner, Discount Sewer and Drain"
