The estimator came over on time in May and looked at the steps. We chatted some about the paint business and how the job for me would be carried out. The company has a minimum they can charge and so with this relatively small work it was close to their cut off point of even doing it. But he gave me the estimate and had me sign some papers. He said thanks then left. Then an email wanted me to go to the paint store and find the color to use. Well, this is more work for me as I was busy getting the house ready to rent out. I didn't think it was very professional to come to a site for an estimate and not have any choices then and there for the home owner to pick and just be done with it. I tried to find a close to me Sherwin paint store as he indicated I needed but found out I'd have to go driving around. I thought the if I'm in a paint store I'll just buy my paint or stain and a couple brushes. Why would I make an extra trip when this "PRO" company should just have had that task included? I took some pictures of the coco brown trim on the house to match with my phone and emailed them and said get close to this. His reply wasn't encouraging as he said phones will distort color and he couldn't guarantee a match. Sigh,,,,,I just wanted it done at that point. May was soon April....rain kept coming putting a hold on the job. Then June, July..... I then got a call from the office that the steps were pressure treated wood and wouldn't take well to paint. What a time to find that out! I did internet research and found the thing is to use some different paint/stain on this wood and it will have better results. The company owner Gary Lentz called me to actually talk to me which I see as good business and is from a professional view. I told him about my findings and he agreed so we went on with the project. The weather had been uncooperative with all the rain but we did have a week in Aug that was nice and hot. The painter Derrick was quite busy on other projects but called back and forth and finally did get the steps stained a semi transparent red and it looks very nice! It took a while, but it is ready to rent and the new family will be pleased with them as I am. Thanks Gary L and Nancy, the nice person on the phone....and Derrick.

Great. Gary Lentz came out for an estimate and evaluated all of our needs. Once we accepted the proposal, we were quickly scheduled for the job. The crew members were punctual, polite and cleaned up at the end of every day. Our residence was treated with respect. Any issues that arose were resolved quickly and professionally. All exterior surfaces were pressure washed, carefully prepared and fully caulked. The crew protected all landscaping and fencing. The work on the soffit and facia was excellent. The exterior has overlay trim pieces. These were all cut in carefully and look great. All interior walls, trim and doors were prepared, patched, as necessary and caulked. The accent walls and trim had sharp delineation. There was no bleed over or splatter. The crew continually protected the hardwood floors, carpeting and furniture. They respected us and our house over the 13 days it took to do the job. All paint and products used were the best and highest quality Sherwin Williams products. The Certapro price was not the lowest bid, but we received excellent value for the amount we paid. I will use this team in the future.

CertaPro North had previously done the majority of the interior of our home and we wanted to finish the final 4 rooms inside as well as our exterior.
From the price quote, to the prep work, to the actual work completed, they did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They were very professional, punctual and completed the work on time and it was a fantastic quality job.

I had a very good experience with CertaPro from the sales/quote to the final inspection. This was my first time getting a house painted, so I appreciated Gary walking me through the steps of what to expect. Nancy was a delight to speak with over the phone for scheduling and general "how is it going?" type questions. When HOA approval was delayed, they unquestioningly and nicely pushed back the start date a couple days. And most importantly, Steve and his crew did a great thorough job on the house. I particularly liked the final inspection in which Steve was more critical than me when it came to small dots of paint in the wrong place, which made me feel better about asking for little touch-ups here and there. In all, everything took about 3-4 days, perfectly within expectations, and more so they were great people to work with and I would certainly recommend to others.

Lester Montoya and his crew arrived to check out job site and review requirements.  Upon arriving, he introduced himself & each member of his crew.  They each removed their shoes so they could come through the house (a considerate & respectful act).  Lester removed one of the spindles in order to match the stain which also impressed me as he stood a much better chance of coming close to the existing work.  They were prompt and cleaned up well after themselves once the job was completed.  The work itself was exceptional and very professionally done in a most timely manner.  I plan on asking for Lester and his crew for any further work at my home.  The contact I had with Nancy at the office was more than I expected..a true gem & one not to be taken lightly.

The painters arrived on time early Monday & the job was scheduled to last 5 days.  They were very friendly, courteous, hard working, & attentive to my concerns & requests. They were very detail oriented & professional. I was pleasantly surprised that the job got done a lot quicker than anticipated. It only took them 2 days to complete the entire job & it was quality work. They did not cut corners simply because they were fast- the job was still efficient & looks fantastic. I am very pleased. My main concern was the coverage on textured walls. Past painters who dealt with my textured walls were not careful in covering all the walls thoroughly. To this day I am still seeing white speckles here & there on those walls & that was even after they came back. So, I was thrilled after conveying my concerns about this issue, that they were careful to follow through & they did not disappoint.  Overall, the quality of their work was very impressive & I am a satisfied customer!

First crew was onsite for three days initially. When they were gone and we could see the job without all the tape and paper prep work it was astonishing how poor the paint job was. We had a tremendous amount of over spray all over the house, scratched floors, areas with so much paint it looked like they sprayed texture, while at the same time there were other areas that barely had any paint on them, and many many drip marks on the trim. The painters dumped paint in three different rocked areas of my yard. And when I asked them to clean it they dumped some kind of chemical in the rocks that ran into my yard and killed a patch of my grass. I had paint on the exterior of my house where they had taken the interior doors to spray. When I asked them to clean that they chipped a piece of mortar off of my rock siding. One interior door was so badly painted they had to strip it with a chisel that left chisel marks in the door and then repainted it but you can still see the chisel marks. They patched an area of a gray wall with brown paint. We have paint drip marks all the way down the driveway from what looks like a leaking paint bucket. Some trim areas were extremely sloppy and looked like a kindergartner had painted them. We had over spray on our carpet with a clear strip right down the middle of the carpet on our stairs. The owner came out to inspect the results from the first crew only after I called and specifically asked him to. Otherwise I don’t think he would have ever bothered to come out and do a quality check. He agreed to bring a second crew to try to clean up what they could and it does look better. They also hired a crew to clean the carpet on the stairs. And they had Gary M. (Certapro sales rep) stay while the paint crew was there at our request because we didn’t want a second crew of four strangers at our house alone. The lines are better and they did fix some of the stuff the first crew botched which is why we didn’t rate Certapro with all “F’s”. However, we still have a sloppy paint job, dead grass, paint in my driveway, and paint on our carpet. The owner offered us $10 to buy some seed to fix the 3 foot by 2 foot dead section of grass. First of all it shouldn’t be on the customer to fix something a hired company messed up. Secondly it will take months for whatever chemical was used to leach out of the soil. A simple overseeding will not work because the chemical is still present. The dead grass and top soil will need to be removed and replaced. The $10 offer is insulting and shows how little he cares. Ownership refuses to discount the price even for such a sloppy job. I don't know how anyone can be proud of this kind of work. We will NEVER use Certapro again and we will be warning everyone of their sloppy work and poor customer service. I wish I could post pictures on this site to show the kind of work you can expect. Their one shining light was Gary M. their sales guy (not to be confused with Gary L. the owner). He was the only one who seemed to care and take pride in his job. If all of their employees took as much pride as Gary M. does, then this would be a top notch company, but sadly this is not the case. We had some other interior work done by Painting Plus of Boulder and we were very pleased with their work. Do yourself a favor and use them instead. Don't make the same mistake we did.

We contacted several painting companies and received three bids. Gary provided a very detailed and complete bid. The CertaPro bid was the highest but he quoted for two coats to be applied only by brush and roller. (Also, we previously had CertaPro paint our exterior and were most impressed with their work). Nancy in the office was very helpful with the entire process - scheduling, colors, direction and also daily calls during and following the job. The crew, Steve, Dan and Dera were timely, very easy to have around and excellent painters! We were overwhelmed early on at getting our stuff out of their way and Steve quickly developed a plan that was much more "do-able" for us. The crew always offered help and moved our heavier pieces, removed blinds, etc. Probably my greatest concern was to have the trim neatly painted - it is wonderful! To turn your home upside down, pay a lot of money and still think it was a great experience is a good thing!!! Thanks to all.

A very positive experience. The crew, Steve, Dan and Dera were very easy to have around and most helpful to us at all times. Their experience with managing a project made it much more manageable for us. Gary provided a very detailed bid and advised us about paint sheens, etc. Nancy from the office made multiple calls to both plan and to be sure things were going well. Her "moral support" was much appreciated!

CertaPro painted our exterior six years ago and we were most comfortable having them paint the interior. They were not the low bid but feel it was well worth the money. Thanks to all.

Everything that was promised from our first contact with Gary Lentz of CertaPro Painters was completed without a single hitch except for a couple of rain delays. The crew arrived on a Friday to power wash the siding, set any protruding nails and caulked like there was no tomorrow ! They allowed the cedar to dry over the weekend. When they came to apply the solid stain they were so quiet we didn't know they were even here. Once the 2 coats of stain had been applied they counseled us on our choice of trim paint. The color we had picked was a little on the dull side and they went so far as to go to the paint store to get a sample of our second choice. It turns out the new color is perfect. Once all the painting was done you would have never known they had been here - - - except for our beautiful new 1978 home ! The painting foreman, Steven, was extra helpful. He gave us some fabulous information on a spectacular fishing spot in the Rockies, not far from our home. Now, that's what we call service!!!

They did a great job.  They were professional, friendly, and sensitive to the fact it was my house. They cleaned up after themselves and the job looks wonderful.

CertaPro Painters did an incredible job on my home. The painting crew was prompt, courteous, and neat. I was very impressed at the quality of the prep work prior to painting. Gary and Jackie were very professional and courteous in answering any questions that I had before and after I had agreed to a contract. I would highly recommend CertaPro Painters for anyone's painting needs.

Gary and his team worked very hard and did a great job. Gary came out to the house several times to meet with us and then follow-up. They were neat and completed the job in the estimated time. Everything looks terrific! We would use them again and have already recommended them.

were fantastic.  You could nGary arrived on time was very knowledgeable and suggest a coat of primer and a spray coat of color.  Our house was in good shap and we just want to paint to remove the smoke and prepare for renting the home.  I was impressed that Gary
knew what we needed and listen to what we wanted and balance the two perfectly.
The quote was very much in-line with other bids but we felt CertaPro demonstrated a significant discriminator by caring for our goals while showing concern for us and our animals as we would still be occupying the property during painting.
Monday the three man team showed up on time and ready to go.  With extreme professionalism and concern they asked us a few question and acknowledged our concern about our cats not getting out.  The team went to work and in no time had all the prep work completed.  They masked everything and where very careful to remove switch plates and cover all the fans and wood work.  The team was very understanding that we still need one bathroom to function and accommodated us both.
The next day they painted the primer coat.  As professional and expertly as the day before they primed the whole house and covered the doors with one coat of paint.  At the end of day two we still had a bathroom to use our male cat on touched the paint once and all was grand.
Day three they completed the job by spraying the color coat and painting the trim.  The two rooms that were different colors purple an blue from the rest of the house not tell that the rooms were any different from the now newly painted house.
Day four was clean up and touch ups.  The team walked through with us several times to make sure we where completely satisfied.  All the time communicating with us and making sure we where happy with there work.  We will use them again!

Both times we were very happy with the work.  They have always been honest, timely, efficient and professional.  We were extremely pleased with the results and the customer service.  Gary Lentz and his staff of painters were really friendly and great to work with.  We would definitely use CertaPro of North Denver again!
