Velte was experienced, flexible with timing and followed through beautifully. We had to remove a 30 year old russian olive that was leaning toward the house. I contacted Velte in June 2019 to get an estimate, but September was closer to when I needed it done (we were doing other construction on the house at the time). Right on time I got a call Sept. 1st to see if we were ready to schedule. I thought that was so professional. The guys came out, had the tree down by mid day, ground out the stump and even swept up, and were out by that afternoon. It was the easiest thing ever. And I found the price incredibly reasonable.

Paul and his crew of Jake and James did a fantastic job in removing one of our very large locust trees and trimming our other large locust trees. Safety was a priority for them and they were very creative in removing a very difficult-to-access tree, in a corner surrounded by fences and a shed. They removed that tree without any damage to the surroundings, and when they left, our yard and our neighbors' yards were cleaner than when they arrived, clearing out all branches. Other tree service companies we received reviews from were hesitant about being able to successfully remove the tree without damaging adjacent structures, and one proposed the use of a crane, which in comparison to Velte, was much more expensive. They were delightful to work with, great communication and attitudes, hard working, and very professional, and we highly recommend their services.

Removal of extremely large juniper (8'X8'X42'). They were best of 3 estimates & did great job- on a BIG job. Professional, friendly but thorough & efficient. Great cleanup too. Will talk to them about replanting in the fall.

Paul and his crew have worked on three different properties for my family â two urban and one in the mountains. He has done beautiful work that has included forest management, trimming, and tree and stump removal. He provided good information about tree and forest health and how to assess whether trees present a fire, fall, or blight hazard. I learned a lot, including that it can work well to prune apple and other kinds of trees during the cold months. I appreciate Velte Forestry and Arboricultureâ s environmental ethics and affection for trees and forests. Having a well-educated naturalist as an arborist has led to great outcomes for our properties. His prices are fair, he leaves the job site clean after doing the work, and he is a good communicator. Very aware of the trees natural growth, He kept the integrity of the main branches. Very prompt, thoughtful.

I have used other arborists in the past. Paul;s knowledge seemed more extensive than others. I appreciated that. He knew when the ash trees would benefit from the treatment, which meant waiting until they were fully leafed out. He used an aerating treatment on other trees I hadn't seen before, and saved me money by recommending not treating a willow in its dying stages. I thought he was quite expensive for the time involved, but he had to work hard in the heat. Ultimately, I think he is worth his fees and will use him again.

Not the cheapest but probably close to the best value. They know what they are doing and do the job correctly. Made the magic happen!

The old and huge silver maple has never looked better and will be able to weather whatever storms may come now. Everything was completely done and cleaned up and looks great. A job well done.

Great advice on our trees and excellent service, both trimming and removing a tree

I was very impressed by Mr. Velte's broad and deep knowledge of arboriculture, his prior experience for the Forest Service, and the incredible quality of his work from start to finish. He is a professional and an artist. I have never - in the 32 years I have lived in my home - had a tree professional do as good a job as Paul. His company will be my go-to from here on out. It was a pleasure to have them do the work for us.
