Unprofessional and unethical. Roberts and Sons (and its employees) is the type of company that gives property managers a bad reputation. We rented a property in South Boulder from the owner for two years before management was taken over by Roberts and Sons. I've traditionally had strong relationships with my landlords and trust going both ways. That ended with Roberts and Sons. Our property manager was unprofessional, including frequently bad-mouthing the owner of the home and giving very limited notice prior to home inspections or showings (even during COVID). The worst part was upon moving out, we were charged $290 for "Gardening & Landscaping". Sure, not a significant amount, but the full story is why this company should never be used... Our lease ended on June 30. In late May, the property owner (who was very particular about things, but NOT the property management company) called a landscaping company to come pull weeds, clean up the yard, etc. I only found out about this when the lawn crew showed up on a Saturday morning ready to work. Immediately, I called both Joe and Bradley at Roberts & Sons, to ensure that we were not going to be charged for whatever yard work had been ordered - after all, we were respectful tenants who would be happy to pull some weeds if asked. They BOTH said no, because the owner had called the lawn company because she wanted things a certain way, and that Roberts & Sons would figure it out. Upon returning our security deposit 56 days after the end of our lease, we see that they did indeed charge us $290 for the landscaping services. Remember, these are services which occurred without warning BEFORE we moved out and forfeited the property for inspection. Maybe a book-keeping mistake? Nope. Joe Roberts Jr, the president of the company, repeatedly and unprofessionally argued with me over email about this charge and refused to honor his word about paying for this service, or understanding how it technically and ethically shouldn't have even been charged in the first place. Sure, $290 isn't a huge sum of money, but the behavior shown by the president of this company over something this trivial (and frankly ethically black-and-white) is indicative of the type of property managers they are. Homeowners and renters beware.

They are great people, wonderful people. It just was a pleasure to work with them. I know they were working for the owner, but I felt like they were equally fair when working with us. It was not high pressure and they were extremely easy to talk to. They were free with helpful information, like moving to a new area and things like that. Just overall customer service was excellent. I always got quick calls back. I even had to call them a couple of times nothing to do with the house, but we were looking for a lawn guy and that kind of thing. They were always responsive and just really easy to work with. I plan to use them again.
Description of Work: I have used Roberts & Sons. They were part of my move, because we were renting a home. They were involved in helping us with the landlords and the leasing information and showed us the house originally.
