Mesa Plumbing, they are not a reputable company in any way shape or form. After hearing the pitch from the plumber about his 20 years + experience, how he definitely could resolve my water hammer issue and how Mesa Plumbing would stand by their work, I foolishly hired them. They were all smiles and super nice until they took my money and I reported back that my issue was not resolved with the work they did. After that they barely would answer my phone calls, came out one more time but never resolved the problem I paid them to fix (over 3k in work!). Eventually, they set their phone system to direct my calls right to voice mail without ever ringing; and won’t ever call me back. Warning: Mesa plumbing did a bunch of unnecessary work that did not resolve my problem. If you are reading this please take this warning, DO NOT HIRE MESA PLUMBING. They will take your money and run, leaving you out in the cold. Terrible, terrible company.

Service person arrived early with our permission and got to work quickly.  He did not rush his work.  He answered all our questions and provided information to keep our plumbing working.

As I said above, a plumber arrived within an hour of our discovery of the burst pipe. Although I was able to close value before he arrived, he had to replace all of the damaged parts.
In mid July 2012 Mesa had the best solution for our A/C needs--a split system for upstairs and down. They also installed it within a week of the order and came in about 18% lower than one of Angie's List's top-rated HVAC partners in Denver that was not only sent out a high-pressure salesman, but also needed a month of lead time.
That is why we are continuing to use Mesa as our preferred provider in Boulder County.

Unfortunately, we didn't have a great experience with these guys.  They quoted us a $44.50 charge to come out and do a diagnostic on our furnace (yes, I specifically asked what their diagnostic fee was).  After they figure out what is wrong, they say the amount they charge is "by the job" (not by the hour) but they wouldn't be able to give us any sort of ball park figures for work they typically do.
Ok - so the 44.50 seemed pretty reasonable.
When the guy got here, before he even TOUCHED the furnace he wanted me to sign off on a $175 charge for a diagnostic ON TOP of the $44.50 fee.
Obviously, that wasn't going to happen.  He 'waived' the diagnostic fee and told me the problem was a dirty filter. Then he left.  He was nice.
The filter was dirty, but that wasn't the problem.  Within a few hours of him leaving the furnace was acting up again - giving us the same code it gave before.  I called the next morning to ask if they would come out again.  The woman I spoke with was great and thought we shouldn't have to pay another charge since they were just out the day before and didn't properly diagnose the problem.
A few hours after I spoke with her, I got a call from Charlie, the owner, saying I was either going to have to pay ANOTHER charge of $44.50 or pay the diagnostic fee of $175.
We're not trying to screw anyone, but it seems ridiculous that we should have to pay AGAIN just to figure out what the problem is.
We live in a pretty nice house, and I truly feel like we were being charged more because of where we live, not because of the work they would need to do to do a proper diagnosis.
We're just going to call someone else and start of scratch.
All in all, use someone else if you can.

Frozen sewer line.  We came back from our winter vacation to very cold temperatures and found out that our sewer didn't work.  I called around and Mesa was able to come out on very short notice.  They were quite expensive with a roughly $80 service fee for them to come out and another ~$400 for them to snake the line.  The plumber that came out was very nice and hard working but after spending $2,000 they still couldn't solve the problem.  For that price, I had them install sewer clean-outs which they installed backwards (there are supposed to be two clean outs next to each other whose paths cross so that you can reach the pipe in between the clean-outs).  They installed the clean-outs back to back leaving a section of pipe between the clean-outs that isn't accessible.
Also, they left on Friday after installing the clean-outs and with my sewer still not working and I didn't hear back from them until Monday afternoon by which time I had already hired another company.
The bottom line is that I'm disappointed that I spent $2,000 with them that didn't solve the problem, whose intermediate solution was installed incorrectly and was unresponsive for three days while we were without a sewer.

They were professional, the job was done when they said it would be done and was done at the price it would be done. I thought they were good.

It did not go well. Mesa Plumbing was unable to complete the job, and I had to finish it myself.

We checked out 3 possible contracters for the job. 1) Precision was way over priced. 2) The Sears salesperson was a jerk and would not give us specific model numbers or itemize their bill and wanted 100% payment upfront. 3) The owner of Mesa, Charlie, stood out as knowledgeable and honest. They arrived when they said they would. They got the job done. And they honored their estimate. They even gave us an upgrade on a furnace at no extra charge just to be sure we were covered. My only unhappiness was with the lack of communication between the workers and me. They were supposed to pull a new wire from the furnace to the themostat for $150. I noticed the themostat had been installed in a slightly different place leaving a 3" hole in our livingroom wall. When asked, they said that did not pull a new wire but instead found an adequate wire in the wall. The wire was short and hence the new location. And, I had to ask them if all our vents were connected correctly in the attic. They hadn't checked. (bad of me to assume that they would check the whole systen and not just what they were installing.) They went back up in the attic and discovered that our main return duct had been pulled up when a different company installed our lights in the livingroom ceiling. For several years, our furnace had been sucking up dusty attic air. We paid our original $150 (quoted for the wire) for them to fix the vent (turned out to be a complicated job.) After the job was complete, Charlie went over the permit process with us and told us everything we needed to do to get energy company and government rebates. Then I paid. They required no payment at all until the entire job was done. Overall, everything is done and we are happy. You just have to keep your eyes on everything the workers are doing because they won't talk to you otherwise. I think that's protocol for the industry.

It went very good. This was the first time we had used them and we were very pleased. They were responsive to us and their prices are fair. They were quick with the work they did, but their work was thorough. They did try to over charge us on some things but it was worked out in the end.

The first job was done well, probably by the owner of the company. The second job was not. The technician claimed that he had fixed it but had not and did not bother to test. When the leak persisted, he suggested the next step was to tear the tile wall apart. The owner eventually solved the problem, which proved to be that the tub spout was dumping water onto a cracked seal on the overflow drain in the tub. This company is operating with a rather high fixed rate schedule and did stick to it -- if with some reluctance -- for this time consuming job. In the third case, the same not-so-good technician assumed the problem was a frozen pipe and cut 5 large holes in the wall of our living room even though one can tell from below that there are no pipes in that wall. Eventually the problem was identified as a broken tube to the refrigerator ice-maker. He simply closed the valve, leading to later accidental opening and more damage to house. He suggested tearing out the cabinets.

THE WORK WAS DONE VERY PROFESSIONALLY. HE HAD TO LEVEL MY SHOWER BASE AND ALSO ADJUSTED THE HEIGHT OF THE SHOWER HEAD TO ACCOMMODATE OUR TALLER BOYS. HE WAS VERY HELPFUL IN RECOMMENDING BRANDS TO INSTALL. HE ALSO HELPED US REMOVE AN OLD STUCK SHOWER HEAD AND INSTALL A NEW WATER SAVER SHOWER HEAD ON OUR UPSTAIRS SHOWER JUST AS A COURTESY.
