"Thanks for the Review! We are under new ownership!"
In mid July 2012 Mesa had the best solution for our A/C needs--a split system for upstairs and down. They also installed it within a week of the order and came in about 18% lower than one of Angie's List's top-rated HVAC partners in Denver that was not only sent out a high-pressure salesman, but also needed a month of lead time.
That is why we are continuing to use Mesa as our preferred provider in Boulder County.
Ok - so the 44.50 seemed pretty reasonable.
When the guy got here, before he even TOUCHED the furnace he wanted me to sign off on a $175 charge for a diagnostic ON TOP of the $44.50 fee.
Obviously, that wasn't going to happen. He 'waived' the diagnostic fee and told me the problem was a dirty filter. Then he left. He was nice.
The filter was dirty, but that wasn't the problem. Within a few hours of him leaving the furnace was acting up again - giving us the same code it gave before. I called the next morning to ask if they would come out again. The woman I spoke with was great and thought we shouldn't have to pay another charge since they were just out the day before and didn't properly diagnose the problem.
A few hours after I spoke with her, I got a call from Charlie, the owner, saying I was either going to have to pay ANOTHER charge of $44.50 or pay the diagnostic fee of $175.
We're not trying to screw anyone, but it seems ridiculous that we should have to pay AGAIN just to figure out what the problem is.
We live in a pretty nice house, and I truly feel like we were being charged more because of where we live, not because of the work they would need to do to do a proper diagnosis.
We're just going to call someone else and start of scratch.
All in all, use someone else if you can.

Also, they left on Friday after installing the clean-outs and with my sewer still not working and I didn't hear back from them until Monday afternoon by which time I had already hired another company.
The bottom line is that I'm disappointed that I spent $2,000 with them that didn't solve the problem, whose intermediate solution was installed incorrectly and was unresponsive for three days while we were without a sewer.
