Appliance Repair
Adam came over and inspected the washing machine. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing, and then noticed the transmission was leaking oil as well. Total repair cost was going to be > $500, and he suggested I'd be better off I get a new machine instead. (No self-interest -- he doesn't sell them.) Adam was experienced and colorful. He steered me away from a couple of new brands I'd been thinking of as well. The dispatcher was great -- their scheduling was fast (next-day), and I ended up getting an earlier appointment due to a no-show. Labor rates were cheaper than elsewhere as well.
