 + -1 moreThe owner was and remains difficult to work with. He was pushy, seemed primarily interested in doing things his way (not ours), and in making as much money as possible (always wanting to sell us something more). His work crew was punctual, industrious and generally did a good job. The landscape is not doing as well as the hardscape. Much of the shredded redwood fill between the plants has blown into the lawn (as we told him it would), revealing the grey fabric underneath. We have been waiting months for the replacement of a dead shrub (the shrubs and tree had a 1-yr warranty). We doubt he'll be willing to replace the shrubs that don't seem to have grown since they were planted more than a year ago.
Description of Work: removal of gravel, repair of sprinklers, installation of "hardscape" (patio), heavy rock, some new irrigation, planting of shrubs, 1 tree

 + -1 moreIt appears that communication and punctuality are areas where Garden Art needs improvement. They will not get my business.
Description of Work: I contacted Jordan at Garden Art about Landscaping. He came out and met with me and was very nice to talk to. We asked him to do an initial design (which is offered for free). I didn't have a plot plan that day so I faxed him one a couple days later (at his request). I never heard back. Over a month later, after getting a design done by another company, I wanted to have at least one other company give me a bid. I called Jordan back and asked if he would do the bid. He said he would give me one by the next day at 5:00pm and apologized for not getting back to me previously. "Gridlock" was his reason. It's been a couple days now and I still have no bid.

 + -1 moreDesigner was wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. Workers didn't speak much English, which posed some problems, but they were very diligent and did great work. Patio is beautiful. Design worked great. Price was not the cheapest but quality of work was much better than competition Company had some internal communication problems which caused some setbacks but company fixed them to our satisfaction. Company did guarantee that plan would be accepted by our HOA and would make any changes if the HOA did not approve, this allowed us to get our yard in a month earlier than we though possible. (HOA approval takes approximately 40 days)
