 + 0 moreToward the end of week 3 (of a 2 week bid) Ken started trying to get paid ahead of the agreed milestones and also wanted to raise the bid price even though we were barely halfway complete. I wend along with the paying ahead, and even stated I'd be open to paying additional once the job was completed. After many excuses, and stories and no-call no-shows as well as leaving huge messes and starting arguments with my Tenant (mainly Ken's partner Ben), they walked out (with money paid ahead of the work completed). Now I'm faced with trying to find someone to fix and complete their substandard work. Buyer beware. This guy doesn't do what he says.

Description of Work: Very poor communications, the job took much longer than promised, and the workman (Jeff Pariseau) lacked a critical carpentry skill (scarf joints) which had to learn it on the job with consequent delays and increased materials costs. Jeff also had poor judgement about when to pour the concrete footings in cold weather and keep them heated so they wouldn't freeze. The final job quality was just so-so, not good, especially considering the total price he charged. When I questioned Jeff about that large add-on costs he put on the final bill, which I had not approved, he threatened me with a lean and refused to compromise. I will never use him again, and I will never recommend him to anyone.
