Ed is a very nice man and easy to talk to. I have no doubt he is honest and once had workers who lived up to his standards. It seems that now, his crew are a group of sloppy, careless workers who don't seem to look at the work they do. Ed is so nice and willing to have people come back to fix the problems and deficient work that I would love to let him off the hook for his crew's sloppy work, but I can't. I think Ed failed to adequately supervise the work. Had he been on the site more often, he would have seen the poor work that was being done before I had to discover it myself. I was traveling back and forth to monitor the construction work and it was incredibly frustrating to come back each time and see issues still not remedied. I put blue tape all over the place and had to do it over and over until it got to the point where I was willing to live with the job.

Ed told us that his crew would fix any unmarked cracks in the drywall that we missed.  They didn't.  The painter ended up fixing missed spots.  Overall they did a good job.

Ed responded immediately when I called him for an estimate.  Came to our house, checked out the work and got us a very reasonable estimate very quickly.  When the job began, Ed and his crew showed up bright and early each morning and Ed stopped by throughout the day to make sure everything was going alright and make sure we were happy and didn't have any concerns.  We added a couple areas and the crew showed up right away to take care of them.  Also, we had one spot we weren't happy with and Ed got his guy out the next day to fix it, no extra charge.  We highly recommend Ed and he is the guy we will call for any future drywall needs!

10/1/12 - well, I need to amend my rating a bit.  We had Ed come back to do a tiny little job to complete the kitchen remodel.  He came over to look at the job and give us a bid and he said that since it was such a small job, he'd just charge us by the hour and he gave us his hourly rate.  We kept track of the time his workers were there and when the job was completed, Ed billed us for more time than his workers had spent.  When we disagreed with his bill, he argued with us and said "this is what you owe".  However, we paid him what we felt we owed and he cashed the check, so it all worked out.  If you use him, just be sure you are very clear on the agreement, hourly rate, etc.  And the quality was not as good on the 2nd job either - good enough - but not great.

We remodeled our kitchen in our new home, which is open to the rest of the living area and downstairs entryway. The walls were very damaged through 30 years of poor patches of water damage and settling cracks. The ceiling had popcorn acoustic on one side of the room we scraped ourselves, the other was a heavy texture over the kitchen with substantial damage because of lights and cabinets glued to it we removed. The demo of the kitchen, and the 12 access holes the electrician needed to add in outlets and in-ceiling lighting didn't help. Obviously this wasn't an easy job for Ed and his guys.We had gotten 4 other quotes, some cheaper, some substantially more. After reading other reveiws on Angies List I called Ed. He listened patiently to the work we needed done, gave me a rough quote over the phone and said he could start  Monday when he returned from a business trip. He arrived on time, saw the work that needed done and gave the exact price as over the phone. He said his crew was starting another job a few miles away and could start Thursday but he would get the taping and rough mud done to cut a couple days of dry time off before they came. He expected they'd be done the following Monday and he started the work that same day. His crew finished their other job a little early and three guys where there Wednesday afternoon. Ed had said it would be complete Monday so we expected a slow weekend waiting for them to finish. On Friday night we looked around and the home was clean and the work was done! This gave us an entire weekend to prime and paint and got us a week ahead of schedule as we expected to be priming after work and finish painting the next week.Ed is the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. The work they did is beautiful, and the room looks like it was just built. The ceiling is especially amazing considering the amount of skimming and blending they had to do. I highly recommend their work and will use them again.

Scheduling was easy- Ed picked up the phone himself and we settled on a date within a week quickly. Work required 3 trips on consecutive days to allow for mud to dry. Workers and Ed were on time all days, they did the work quickly, protected the floor, cleaned up, and did a good job. The texture matches the wall nicely.  They actively looked for other holes and cracks they could take care of at the same time at no additional cost.

We are very pleased with the results.
