About us
Cottonwood Kennels is located on a small farm, which is home to several very friendly farmyard animals. There are ducks, chickens, peacocks and sheep. There's Willie Nelson, the big boy of the sheep, and Gus and Woodrow, the 'Texas Rangers', our youngest sheep. We also have Nicholas the handsome alpaca and Elvis the pompous peacock. See more barnyard pictures. We are all about the pet-to-person connection. We believe that cats and especially dogs desire to be with people more than anything else. That's why they gave up the wild thousands of years ago to be by our side. You will not find gimmicky substitutes for human interaction here. You will find a very large staff of big-hearted, dedicated, hard-working people. Pet eating, drinking, potty habits, disposition and attitude are carefully monitored, recorded and reviewed several times a day. While you're away, you can call our toll free number (1.800.866.1406) and we'll be happy to give you a total progress report. We provide everything – quality diets, beds, playthings and especially tons of tender loving care. Pets with special needs are our specialty and we welcome them. If your pet eats a special diet or is taking medications or vitamins, bring them along and we'll be happy to administer them according to your specific instructions.

Since then we brought her in for day care once a week and another longer stay (10 days). All went very well.
The only reason I gave them a B in professionalism was because a few times when we would come to pick her up from day care they had so many clients coming that the workers didn't seem to know what was going on.
I also boarded my cat here for a week (first time my cat had ever been to boarding). They were great about the care. The only (small) downside was that they didn't call me when a potential issue arose, but they were handling the situation very well, so there was no problem -- when I called, they were very upfront about the possible issue and what they were doing to prevent it from becoming an actual issue.
I would board and daycare my cats and dogs here any time.
Although I have to drive an extra 30 minutes each way to drop my dogs at this daycare facility, it is worth it in terms of price and quality of service.
